Kind of absurd, missed a call from AMEX yesterday. This morning all my cards across multiple businesses and personal accounts have charging privileges suspended. Called and they want updated financial info including recent bank statements. Won’t have any cards unlocked until submitted. I’ve no issue sending the statements but this approach is a crazy F U to a customer. Especially when I pay my balances in full every month and don’t even run up high charges with them (these days). No heads up or even a prompt when logging in online. No emails. Guess they just decided they needed it and boom, all purchasing power paused. Weird.

Need some opinions from Ag Twitter, currently dealing with a dealer who will not honor a trade deal on a grain cart. Deal was made this time of last year, inked by both parties. Cart has been held hostage at mfg yard as dealer was over their credit limit. Next step?

He doesn’t have to farm if he doesn’t want to. If he does decide to, we want to have an operation built that has solid infrastructure in place. I see way too often farmers who focus on their own legacy and not the next generation. He can run the show at 30 and I’ll grease.

You’re suppose to run it till your 90 and only have him around enough to give you a hand, meanwhile he’s already set out on his own path without a thought of ever being able to make a living from it and he gets to show up on auction day while you stand there crying wondering why the farm is over and no one was there to take it over. But, whatever, you do you.

@CRToney2 My dad started me out around 7-8. He was excellent at teaching and explaining and gave me the reigns around 25-26. We did grease when we were young and still do it. He also still greases and shovels at 65. 0 entitlement. More should learn.

@theGarrettF Heck no, the young ones grease. They need to learn how things work and spot failures. Plus I’d rather stay clean. Start at the bottom work your way up.
