One if my contributions to the society is that I mute people who are not presenting or talking on teams meeting.

@alabbaad_X One of my guys used to say Yola is just 5km from the Sun and I agree. I enjoyed being in AGGA Mosque, Jimeta by the way. I had a friend there I used to go visit.

There's this mosque in Yola that has 6 AC units and 4 ceiling fans. No! It's not a big mosque. But during the day, when all fans and AC units are working, you'll break small sweat in the mosque. I was in Maiduguri and wondered which of the Maiduguri is close to hell fire.

The reason why Halima Fajr blocked me (and I did qisas) till date is because I spoke up against something like this btw. Too many women, including the seemingly religious ones, on here have normalized unnecessarily rude stuff like this and similar, like being broke, absolutely unprovoked, and then cry when men do it to them. And no, it’s not the same as stating preference. It’s peak.

@Wizarab10 The question should be Pogba not Sterling. Sterling is better than a lot of people on this list.

Being Muslim is not a guarantee of comfort without struggles, but an account of a life that became more grounded, more ordered and more intentional.

Sometime last year, I boarded a commercial bike and told the rider I was headed to Sector F central mosque. In that axis, the mosque is almost a landmark of orientation, hardly a rider operates there without knowing it. I asked for the fare. He replied, “300.” I said “No, it’s 400” if he had said 1000 naira, I would still beat it down to 400 naira. Then I said “ Shè you no sabi Sector F mosque ni?” To my astonishment, he said he didn’t. That alone was enough to arrest my curiosity that an unfamiliar rider in such a familiar terrain. As we journeyed, I initiated the conversation on how come he doesn’t know a whole sector F mosque. He mentioned he had only recently arrived in Abuja. Then he mentioned exactly what you said. They migrate down south and other strategic urban centres, taking up modest and menial jobs, then return home once the farming season calls them back. If you ask me, I’d say, that’s a kind of unadvertised nobility. Men who refuse idleness, who pursue lawful earnings even when it demands displacement, discomfort and anonymity. That’s honour in its most unpretentious form. The problem I use to have with them is that, majority of them will never tell you they don’t know your destination 😂, they just call price and pick you up, if you like talk, if you like don’t talk. If you don’t equally know your destination, you are in big trouble 😂
Engr Yasir MNSE 🏗@oil_shaeikh

Well most of them come down south after the farming season to do menial jobs, it’s not their main jobs, that’s why you’ll see your bikemen, security and others going home seasonally and someone coming to relieve them! Stop looking down on them, they’re mostly farmers back home.

“If he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me. If he scores another few, then I’ll be Muslim too. If he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me, sitting in the mosque, that’s where I wanna be. Mo Salalalalah, Mo Salalalalah!” Impact, ya habeeby!
