Just FYI his married sister and their lawyer relative actually supported us. They used to come at their home all the time.

What will you do as a parent if your married daughter sends you such messages about harassment from her in-laws repeatedly every now and then? I'm sure all of you with daughters won't waste a second after receiving the first SOS message or call, and rescue her, but sadly, it doesn't happen so often in the offline world. Why? These messages were sent by Twisha Sharma to her mother, a woman who allegedly died by suicide in Bhopal due to alleged harassment by her husband and in-laws. The girl was well-educated and from an accomplished family. Why didn't the parents act after the first call for help? And mind you, I'm not blaming them for the outcome. The sole criminal responsibility for this alleged suicide lies only with the alleged harassers. I'm just pointing out the helpless social reality that many parents hesitate, delay, or keep hoping things will improve on their own, even families as well-educated and accomplished as Twisha's. Just sad. High time parents realise that a divorced daughter is always better than a dead daughter.

Amount of connection we have in govt we could have made their life living hell, but we wanted to get it over with quickly and just don't want to see their face ever again

@rahulgoyal03 @theskindoctor13 Check my other comment, didn't take any alimony, we are not greedy people, I myself married 3 years ago and didn't take any dowry, bride side dumbed sofa, bed and almira at our home without telling us because its customery. We all have job and earn enough for ourself.

@swap2812 @theskindoctor13 Yes it's done and dusted in 6 months, no alimony didn't even pursue it, she just wanted to get out from there, they had a lawyer in the family who adviced them to let the divorce go peacefully. Lawyer was actully one of the nice person in their family as discrbed by my sis.

@ecorevolution28 @theskindoctor13 She used to do all cooking and cleaning, they used to mentally harass her for dowry, they never said it directly but keep mentioning it in conversation, like gold chain you gave is small, demand for bike, even took away her room heater. Pile of other things on regular basis.
