The more chances I give Crimson Desert the more life I feel getting sucked out of me I tried a side mission where I had to liberate a quarry and after murdering like 50 people I saw the progress bar at 80%

@miserytwo00 But it is an RPG At no point it feels like an MMO, either Xenoblade Chronicles tried something similar way back on the Wii and they absolutely nailed it, so it’s not like it’s not a genre I can’t enjoy. Maybe they just didn’t make a very good game. Which is ok (for the most part)

@miserytwo00 Idk I fuck with open world RPGs and that’s pretty much what Crimson Desert is supposed to be Problem is that it doesn’t really feel fun to play at any point I have heard that it gets better later on so that’s what I have been hoping for, but it legit puts me to sleep

@theREALfedster its a grindy chinese mmo game. crimson desert was originally going to be the sequel but they decided to make it their own game. I genuinely doubt if you haven't played the og bd u probably wouldn't like crimson desert tbh. But who knows.

@miserytwo00 Could also be due to the fact that I’m pushing through for research reasons (mostly understanding why so many people enjoy it so much) and because I spent full price on it

@miserytwo00 Yeah but time wasters are at least fun, usually It really does feel like a “time waster” in the way that I feel like I’m wasting my time playing it instead of any other game And I hate when games do that

They even taunt you by having exploding barrels all around the map as if baiting you into thinking blowing them up leads to a fun time but a lot of the times they’re not even near enough enemy groups so that you can use them to make the slaughtering process easier

The mission stated “kill the enemies around the quarry” and I thought “there’s no way they really want me to kill 200 enemies, I must be missing something”, but no they really want you to kill EVERYBODY in that camp. It is SO tedious.
