@VoiceIslanderFn @LudwigTheJust @EmmaRincon I agree 20% is standard. However, a mandatory 20% is a disincentive for the servers to do their best. ALSO, I want the option to tip less (or none at all) if the service is bad.

I went to a steakhouse in Miami, paid the bill, and they automatically added a 20% tip. When the waiter brought the check, he said: “That tip goes to the whole establishment—if you want to leave something for me, it’s extra.” I didn’t add anything else—20% is already too much. He gave me a dirty look, like I was robbing him. This tipping culture is out of control.

Third straight year of losses. $210.8 billion total. The Fed is hemorrhaging money while quietly handing hundreds of billions to big banks. Welfare to big banks needs to end, and we can do that by passing my End the Fed’s Big Bank Bailout Act. wsj.com/economy/centra…

@MaxGreenberg176 And it seemed like Preds just couldn't get the puck in the offensive zone without dump and chase (if that). Also, Devils were fast and flying and getting to pucks way better than Preds. Lastly, Jack Hughes is just elite.

What a frustrating loss for the #Preds. Some shots hitting goalposts, not converting a few breakaways, and honestly, I’d blame the refs a good bit for this loss too. It was extremely one sided in the third and resulted in the game winner. No issues with the effort, we just dealt with several tough circumstances in and out of our control #Smashville

We don’t have an income problem with federal taxes. We have a spending problem. Why would anyone say yes to this until all the crazy fraud we’ve seen is handled appropriately?
Americans For Tax Fairness@4TaxFairness

BREAKING: Elizabeth Warren, with Reps. Jayapal and Boyle, just dropped the ULTRA-MILLIONAIRE TAX ACT. The bill creates a 2% wealth tax on $50 million households, and an additional 1% wealth tax on billionaires. It raises $6.2 TRILLION from just 260,000 households. Obvious W.

Can Matthew Wood be the center the Predators need? Jonathan Marchessault thinks so. “A lot of people would dream to have a big right-handed center like him and a goal scorer. I feel lucky to have him." tennessean.com/story/sports/n…

@patrickbetdavid And yet we’re $39 trillion in debt so more taxes are needed (unfortunately) AND spending needs to be cut. Who can afford increased taxes easier? The top 1% or the bottom 50%? 🤔

@kpomerleau It is a bit misleading but you know the income cap is inevitably going to be removed, & they may very well eliminate SS benefits for the citizens who are over a certain amount in wealth at 65+. I mean we’re over $39 trillion in debt so the chickens are coming home to roost soon.

Some of America's wealthiest couples are collecting $100,000 in Social Security benefits — a six-figure payout that a new proposal says should be capped to help the retirement program avoid insolvency in 2032. cbsn.ws/47l2FNj

@goatpurple1 @SenateBudget I think she’s implying that should change and I agree with her. Removing the income cap and cutting off SS for citizens who are wealthy (and thus don’t need it ) would be a good way to pay off our enormous debt.

@SenateBudget retarded video benefits also capped. if you earn 100k or billion you get same benefit. Social security is insurance system, and actually distributes money for high to lower earners

MURRAY: Is it true that people making under $184k pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? DAHL: Yes. MURRAY: And the rate for someone making $1 million? DAHL: 2.2%. MURRAY: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184k, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.

I want you to understand how unusual this is. 6:49 AM on Monday: A sudden surge in oil futures trading, approximately $580 million in volume, no news, no announcement, nothing public. 7:05 AM: Trump announces a pause on Iran strikes. Markets move immediately. Roughly $580 million in contracts were placed about 16 minutes ahead of the news. Unusual.

I don’t think people realize how much healthcare costs are driving big companies to fire and not hire. It costs them $30k per family, per year for premiums and care. Most of that goes to the massive, vertically integrated insurance companies that send weekly bills that no one reviews in details. And it doesn’t include the company overhead to deal with it all. It’s usually the 2nd largest expense after payroll. Which is insane It’s far easier to blame AI than it is to blame Healthcare costs. Want to increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for every American ? Break up the biggest insurance companies. Make divest non insurance companies. They don’t need thousands of subsidiaries. That’s how they game and abuse the system and increase costs for all of us. Call your senator and tell them to support the BreakUp Big Medicine Bill by @HawleyMO and @SenWarren.
