The amount of times this month I have rage typed a tweet and then deleted it regarding the disregard for veterans, and active duty military is up there.

Quite frankly I think the vast majority of people are performative when it comes to supporting troops or veterans and the majority of you don’t actually give a damn what happens to those who served.

American citizens don’t want this. Veterans don’t fucking want this. No one wants this.

As a therapist who works with veterans … if I told one of my guys to get a hobby and he informed me he joined a SWAT team I’d have a metaphorical stroke. 😅

Year 35 🎂 #birthday

I’m both sad and happy because I got to see Kayla for about 4 hours, but now she’s already back in the city and I wanna hang out more. A silly little tv show gave me this great friend who is almost a 1000 miles away.

I see a lot of judgment on here about how long someone “should” step away from social media, wrestling, or work when they say they need space. When something hits suddenly, it can feel like the whole world is against you and in that moment, quitting feels real. Some people find their footing in an hour. Some need days, months, or years. If someone has the courage to pull themselves out of a dark place and keep going, maybe be grateful they had the support or the strength to do it at all no matter the timeline. 🖤

My coworker has always been gracious enough to listen to me rant, and cheer all things RSCL for the last 4 years and she just looked at me yesterday and was like “how did you somehow manage to social work pro wrestling…” 🤣😳 She’s not wrong…

Trey Miguel deserves to be on a wrestling TV screen/show. This is AEW’s loss and TNA’s gain. Push him to the moon and give it all to him. Plain and simple. If he’s going to be on his own, and a singles wrestler—make him a star. #TNAImpact

Trey (and Zach and Dez) were kind to my niece, who had never met pro wrestlers before coming this shows with me, which tells me everything u need to know about him as a person—so fuck anyone saying anything negative.

Spent the majority of my day doing notes at work + listening to music with my inpatient guys and the fact that I get paid to do this stuff is still the coolest and most humbling thing.

You are enough. Today, Every day, And if anyone ever makes you doubt that: Fuck them.

"I don't know how many people I've helped today, but I can tell you every other person who has died." - Dr. Robby in the Pitt. It’s true. You can help so many people, but I bet you anyone in healthcare can remember more about the ones they didn’t. Gave me chills.

I started watching the Pitt this weekend and I don’t thinks show has made me laugh, cry, sob, and then laugh again in a 20 minute span. For those of us who work in a hospital setting—I have never seen something more spot on. Kudos.

Some wrestling fans are just really shitty people and it’s gross. Do better.

Anyway, I say this to just because sometimes getting it out is helpful. I move forward, and go to the next. Am I carry them with me. I wish I could tell stories about their life. Show how loved they were. In a way, I do.

That veteran profoundly shaped my experience because they never talked about being suicidal. It came from left field. It made me look at everything differently. It was my first ever experience with someone dying by suicide and I think about them still—and I just … no words.

I’m going to be frank; I dislike January professionally. A couple years ago, I worked with a veteran closely, and they opened up to me. Two weeks after they discharged, they killed themselves. No warning, no “signs.” It wrecked me. I distinctly remember sobbing on the way home.
