It took me about 3 months to become *the* expert on gas optimization back in 2022. There is still a lot of low-hanging fruit like that. You just need to stop chasing a new thing every week that the influencers say is hot. Your proven ability to focus and go deep will go a long way towards building the credibility people need to trust you with large projects. I don't talk about gas optimization anymore, but the credibility I built back then paved the way for everything I do now in Web3. So don't stress out about building expertise in the "wrong" thing. I'm literally giving you my playbook here. If you don't know how to push yourself to state-of-the-art, you'll have a tough time competing with AI while staying in the comfort zone of what is easy to learn and has a lot of material already. People think being a good generalist means studying a lot of different subjects. No, "being a good generalist" means knowing first-hand it takes to be excellent it a certain field, then apply that experience to other fields.

Day 48 Weekend Went out for a run Learn about "Whitelist & Blocklist" using the case of USDC Was great learning (Now I am getting why it's important to learn about weird ERCs before building a vault. U might end up forgetting some important "requires" and that will lead to vulns)

Day 17 / 1825 1 H - Rust •Solved some challenges on @RareCodeAI Now that I make sure to really understand what the solution code does before moving to the next challenge, I see that I am able to resolve the following challenges faster. Slow is smooth . Smooth is fast .

"but ser, if you ask your claude/openai/chatgpt/cursor/windsurf/openclaw to ignore sensitive files, it will - use the .cusorignore/rules/llm.md/etc file" If that is your security posture, you've already lost. Private keys should never be in plaintext

Another name that belongs in the room. @QuillAudits_AI is sponsoring the Rekt Security Summit. March 27–28, Cannes. QuillAudits has been doing the work quietly. Great content and a track record in DeFi security that predates most of the protocols they've protected.

Next sponsor: @Certora Founded by pioneers in programming languages and formal methods. They bring academic rigor to smart contract security, mathematical verification that goes beyond traditional audits.

Day 40 Worked a bit today... Learned about a new type weird ERC20 after Rebasing ✅ Approval Race with USDT ✅ Where some token blocks "approve()" tx unless you explicitly approve 0 first. ✅ This feature was made to fight against frontrunning attack(Even if I think it doesn't)
