It was a pleasure to speak to Isaac Chotiner in the @NewYorker about the Israel-Iran war, the role of the U.S., Iran's ties to Russia, and where this all could be headed newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/w…

It's here! I am so excited that my first solo-author paper is published in @II_journal! I find that states are less likely to engage in MIDs when they're embedded in IOs with more (on-average) gender-equal members.

We argue that US Air Corps officers co-opted discrimination to justify their emerging precision technology and doctrine, which led to norm settling and transformed the discrimination norm to focus on the process of precision targeting.

In a 1940 essay, Dorothy Thompson examines how Adolf Hitler “acquired such power over the masses”—and warns that, in “normal” times, people tend to forget the “tendency of history to employ disreputable characters.” trib.al/5oMWR63

So happy to see this in print! @Steven_m_ward and I show how small states and other 'weak' actors can mount revisionist challenges to international hierarchy, drawing on the case of the TPNW
Steven Ward@Steven_m_ward

Excited to see this brand new article (with @NaomiEgel) online now at @EuroJournIR. We draw on recent work on hierarchy in IR to analyze the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons as the instantiation of an understudied form of revisionism: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/13…
