If the definition of insanity is - “doing the same thjng over and over again and expecting a different result”…. …. And you guys spin up the same narratives every time a new chain arrives… and you other guys fall for the same narratives from the same people every time… … then ?

Same people giving founders like myself a hard time because of failed endeavors, are cheerleading obvious garbage to make a buck. Lesson in there

seven months ago i quit crypto. i'd been in the industry for almost a full decade. and i'm ashamed to admit it took me this long to notice something about the game i was playing. there are two kinds of games: games with memory and games without. in a game with memory, what you did yesterday makes today easier. in a game without, every day starts from zero. crypto is a game without memory. i know because measuring that was my job. i started this account at the bottom of the last bear market with zero followers and grew it to 100k+ in under two years. i wrote educational pieces and quite a few scam investigations that about 150 million people read. by any normal measure it worked. the money was good, and i made connections i could never have made any other way. but investigating scams teaches you something you can't unlearn. exposing a scammer has no effect. none. the people i exposed came back months later with new names and bigger scams. every market remembers. stocks remember enron; banks remember 2008. crypto is the exception. it forgets everything. it runs on attention, and attention resets every morning. the scammers were selling it. the influencers were selling it. i was selling it too. that's what a game without memory does. nothing bad that happens to you there is permanent, and nothing good you build there is either. most of what crypto produces is sh*t for exactly that reason (with a few exceptions ofc). so in december i cancelled six figures of booked promos, closed my company, and quit. (the r3ach guys unwound every deal without a single complaint. in a market with no memory, i'd like that remembered, GOATs.) people assumed i'd be back in a month. instead i spent the last half a year building an app. i won't say what it is yet, except that it isn't crypto. there's no token. it's a product to improve life of ordinary people, and it's the best thing i've ever made. a game with memory, finally. i'm posting this because i'm hiring, and i want to fill them from ct. ct is what you get when you remove credentials from a labor market: the people who rise have nothing going for them except output. that's exactly who i want. two roles to start: a creator manager and a creative strategist. part time, remote, anonymous is fine, and i pay properly. full job listings in the next post. dms open. with love, Pix.

@GreggHall12 Is migrating Xeet from one chain to another the same as telling people that the trenches are back every time a new chain appears?

@JL2Tech I hate to break it to you, sir. Not only was this not about you. I spent no more time thinking about your snide comment.

I’ll never give a hard time for trying.. Thank you for having stuck around and continue to be here… I only hate the ones who never tried or gave up (too easy) and left.. obviously the scammer ones as well. I’ve never been a part of the Plague (yet) but I’ve always noticed your community to be pretty strong.

I guess. Like for example I think what was the biggest smash hit in all of my time in the plague eco was the wen utility reveal and breadcrumbs of what it meant because there were constant updates and game theory and speculation for weeks on end Everyone was always talking about it and it generated so much hype. That was fun

Yeah all checks out and from my view I’d agree with all. Seems like doing too much or going too big initially is the common theme And actually makes sense because in crypto people like when you ship fast and often So probably would be better to launch at bare minimum and then every week hit people with a new feature or upgrade. The schizos here love that and it tricks their brain into thinking a team is working nonstop and pushing updates even if it’s the exact same as having it all done and unveiling at launch I’m sure your business exec brain wants to come in heavy right at launch with a really good product which is almost opposite of what resonates here because then you don’t have an announcement for two days and people get bored and move on

Both raised tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars either from holders, royalties, or from VCs I purposely raised amounts that didn’t have to support my salary. Did it work? Nope. But as stated. I disagree with your opinion. Apes are literally down $400,000 from their all time high Get some perspective I won’t be interacting with you any longer

@tinopremium @The_Pons I also felt it was a side gig. I respect that he tried, but a side gig is something you do when it only affects a person or two, not hundreds. To be successful it has to be your major focus. It's no different than owning your own business. Look at the Pudgys, Bored Apes. All in!

Nobody said anything about your finances. I take opinions in all the time. But I don’t feel the need to hear your same opinion over and over again. As I stated. We disagree. You have the advantage in that while I may disagree.. the outcomes are negative so my opinion has less support But unlike you, I am not retired yet and have better things to do than argue the same point over and over again on the internet…. So, since you can’t/won’t stop.. I’ll just solve the problem

@The_Pons Trust me Pons I am fine. I am retired and got back from the beach down south. Helping with our daughter's wedding. House we built has been paid off for 18 years , no debt and money in the bank. BTW, I grew up in poverty. Being in business I have learned opinions are important.

@The_Pons I was looking for answers through other channels - X posts by other team members of the Plague, through the Discord, but found none. And you had stayed quiet for a while. Thank you for responding! I'm glad I can put that to bed now. Best of luck sir.

Making Coffee/Wenswap - to idealistic on what the support level would be on the coffee. Not anyone’s fault but myself for having unrealistic expectations - Went too big too fast. Should have started simple, and built out the infrastructure as I went. I went too wide on infrastructure and it cost me time and money - related to last point. Spent a lot of money on tech stack that never really got utilized - got taken advantage of by people I trusted. Which cost money as well Bottom line here. Coffee sales did not offset expenses. I should have run it like a small business (because it was), but I hyped myself up into thinking we were going to change the world Xeet Got rugged by X…. Haven’t given up… but definitely in a position of weakness where as before we were in a position of strength $GRIND Man… Hiccup with launch (outside of my control) Account got banned for a week (outside of my control) Got vamped by people I trusted and supported while my account was down… they tried to pump their own token I was stupid an arrogant for thinking I could change the game (see a trend?) Still hope for GRIND… I am still grinding on this one Hikeshi Too late to the ordinal party… still friends with that team… actually started talking to them about a US store.. who knows Frogs All the above failures ruined my credibility with many. Frog tank fractured us I got screwed by many people… MANY people I thought we could change the world (there is that trend again)… and no thought thousands of others wanted to do so…. turned out I was fooling myself Hope that helps

@The_Pons Not me. It’s really a burning curiosity for me. How is it that every single “endeavour” launched by the Plague was a failure over the last 5 years? The final straw was exodus and many frog holders who’d supported the project since the beginning.

Why do you think a lot of what you tried did fail? Was it trying to do too much, not setting proper expectations, too slow to deliver and metas changed? I’m curious Because I know you’re one of the smarter people here and understand mostly everything and every meta and how they will play out and how long they will last and what drives hype and I could go on and on and on I’m just curious what your thoughts are looking back at everything

@The_Pons Shameful... They could at least make fun of you for saying "next week" when you usually mean "next month." Not for trying build something... Thats at least fair game
