I came to the institute to work on our GPU server and 3D printers and I still was the one with the least fancy equipment since one colleague was working with a hyperspectral photometer and another with a 3D Scanner. What a time to be alive and work in grapevine breeding

@tendersombrero @OmicsOmicsBlog @vellamike I see that bimodal distribution quite often. I suspect it's homopolymer rich reads but I have to admit I never checked and just filtered by quality. I am not sure what a normal duplex rate is but I rarely get more than 10%. But this was from a cell that was more than 1 year old

I am a bit too lazy to convert q-score into percent accuracy but comparing the "old" #nanopore dorado duplex super model (light blue) to the new one (dark blue) on data from a plant DNA minion run still looks quite impressive

I made a joke about cats not letting their humans leave the house at London Calling, but the kittens seriously protested my absence by unplugging the wifi so I'd not see it when they threw a plant down the stairs.

@MaclarenLee Thanks. I currently have live basecalling turned of because we are a bit short on space on the GridION but I'll check if they map once I have basecalled everything
