@bellcra86428139 Actually no, it’s honestly one of my favorite episodes of the show too. Not only are the visuals beautiful but they already nailed the whole absurd sci-fi escalation aspect of the show from the literal first episode. Such a chaotic way to start a show lmao

I absolutely love how the pilot for Regular Show looks. The purple lighting, the beautiful colorful backgrounds, the fluidity of the animation and all of the expressions are super appealing to me. I wish they kept this style, at least in season 1

That’s not to say that season 1 looks “bad” at all. The animation is still insanely good, there’s lots of unique staging. and it kept a lot of the really loose aspects of the pilot while maintaining the permanent designs of the characters. Perfect on all fronts. If anything, it’s definitely the best looking season of the entire show

@SBW_64 And I wouldn’t deny that at all haha, infact pre movie is still my favorite era of the show. I’m just saying that it’s a bit silly to complain about the show being zany like that nowadays when the overall zaniness has been a staple in the show since day 1

It always surprised me that these comics started coming out during s7-9a of the series. There’s such a huge mismatch with the humor, the styles, the characterization in the comics vs the show at the time. The comics are definitely really underrated and are an awesome extension of the show.

Something that I never see anybody talk about when it comes to pre-movie is how weird, absurd, and almost avant-garde its humor can get at times outside of the trendy popular mainstream jokes. I’m sure there’s more examples of this but I can’t think of any at the moment
