We need to find a way to raise the bar at the lowest performing locations. Not just continue to pump money into 3g facilities. 4/4

You're all so disconnected from grassroots adults footballs. The gap between facilities is huge. Yes there are some amazing 3g facilities in the county But at locations where 80-90% of the season will played, facilities are none existent. This isn't even an exaggeration. 3/4

Sunday league football rant today to the @fa, @SussexCountyFA and @EastSussexCC - pitch maintenance - none existent - changing facilities constantly closes and haven't been modernised since the 70s/80s - pitch fees the highest they've ever been 1/4

They really need to change the Young Player of the Year award to breakthrough player of the year. I know Foden, Haaland and Saka etc are all young but they have a lot of appearances in senior football. Foden has been in the City first team since he was 17!

It's taken a year & three weeks from conception to completion but it's here! My 2nd long-form piece for the BBC & I am massively proud of it. Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this to life. I love telling stories and it's incredible to have a job that allows me to do that.

I don't really work in events any more. But to scratch that itch, once a year I throw a charity football tournament to raise money for @GrassrootsSP. Saturday was to put simply, incredible. Over 250 people attended and so far we've raised close to £1600. 😊
