I have a question for @paxtrader777 who is the only futures trader I would trust with anything! Do you mark out monthly levels or are they irrelevant?

First we get news that U.S Warships got hit by missiles and now U.S officials are denying it. So what's the real story people? Did we or did we not?

Shooting star candle on SPX on Friday followed by this news before market opens. Looks like we're in for another chaotic week.

The Movie Script Reality I’m looking at the news from this weekend and it’s getting hard to distinguish reality from a thriller script. Between the reports of gunshots at the Correspondence Dinner and the total breakdown of any diplomatic progress in Pakistan, we aren't just dealing with "volatility" anymore. We’re dealing with a level of chaos that feels surreal. When things get this violent and the headlines start moving this fast, it creates a scenario where you have to take a step back. It’s easy to get sucked into the madness, but when it feels like we’re living in a movie, the worst thing you can do is try to trade every plot twist. The Takeaway The world is noisy right now. Don't let the "cinematic" nature of the news force you into emotional decisions. If the screen feels like fiction, it’s usually a signal to zoom out and wait for some actual clarity. Stay grounded.

Personally I'm long $OXY May 15 60 Calls. Nothing about this tech rally feels right. P/E ratios don't make sense to me at these levels. At 43 I've seen this story way to many times.

Trump: "You want to see a stock market go down? Let a couple nuclear bombs be dropped on us or frankly any place else, and then you'll see a stock market that goes down. So the stock market has not gone very much at all. It's gone down a little bit. Much less than I thought."

The numbers don’t lie. 55% of buyers delayed last quarter. 19% walked away completely. Six months ago that exit number was 13%. People aren’t waiting anymore. They’re gone. That’s the real story nobody wants to say out loud this spring.

Fannie Mae just approved crypto-backed mortgages. Coinbase and Better Home & Finance launched a product where you pledge Bitcoin as your down payment collateral. Fannie backs it like any other conforming loan. No margin calls. BTC drops 50%, your mortgage terms don’t move. Sounds clean until it isn’t. We already have rates above 6%, applications down 10%, and an affordability crisis. Now we’re layering volatile digital assets into the collateral stack of government-backed mortgages. We’ve heard “expand access through creative financing” before. We know how that movie ends...cough cough private credit... I’m not anti-crypto. I’m anti-amnesia. #realestate #crypto

Nobody wants to talk about private credit right now. UBS just bumped its worst case default forecast to 15%. Look at that chart. That’s worse than 2008. Here’s the part that should bother you. Interest paid-in-kind is nearing pandemic highs. That means borrowers can’t pay the interest in cash so they just add it to what they owe. That’s not a recovery story, that’s a delay story. Private credit ballooned over the last decade because rates were at zero and everyone needed yield. It worked great until it didn’t. The problem with private credit is there’s no daily mark. No ticker. No one ringing a bell. When it starts going bad you usually find out late.

Look at this chart. Hormuz traffic went from 50 ships a day to basically nothing in a week. That strait carries 20% of the world’s oil. Shut it down and you’ve got an oil shock, higher LNG prices, fertilizer costs going up, and shipping insurance through the roof. All of that gets passed down. Importers, retailers, consumers. In that order. We already saw a version of this with the Red Sea in 2024. That one hurt. This one is worse. The market hasn’t caught up yet. It will. #Commodities #OilMarkets #Macro #Trading #Geopolitics
