Riven Mid Is S Tier? 📈 Many high elo Riven players, such as @builteuw, have recently swapped from Top to Mid and are running a new build that by our stats is looking quite strong! The cornerstone of the build is picking up an early pair of Gluttonous Greaves, an incredibly strong item for Riven already but playing her Mid allows for more roams meaning quick stacks. After boots, while Axiom Arc seems to have more buys it sits at -0.45 WPA whereas Umbral Glaive holds a +1.01 WPA. Riven likes the passive of Axiom, however Umbral provides stronger roams through more damage with Nightstalker and the ability to spot wards with Blackout. Endless Hunger completes the core of this setup, giving Riven even more Omnivamp on top of the boots which she can very strongly utilise due to her Melee AOE kit - complemented further by the buffed haste on 26.9. We've provided an example full build & rune set-up, however remember to build according to the game. Riven benefits from many situational items, with one tricks often picking up options such as Maw or Serpents. Do you think Riven Mid is too strong at the moment?

last stand maxxing. optimizing laststand is so slept on btw, probs because there is no visual indicator or effects that make it look like you’re dealing more damage. over the last year I’ve been trying to get better at minmaxing last stand. some dives I would even tank a tower shot just to get lower to get that little bit of extra dmg to get a kill. super sweaty but sometimes it makes a difference

NEW S16 RIVEN MID BUILD JUST DROPPED - t3 gluttonous are extremely broken, especially if you can start stacking early - go EH 2nd ALWAYS unless you absolutely need DD/SS for def - EH has insane stats and scales well - voltaic passive is meh and low AD/Haste compared to EH/umbral

@zak_vvv oh yeah i didnt even consider stacked conq + bonus haste from EH LOL. everything just synergizes so well together. yeah sweeper+umbral feels really good especially once you take t1 top and wanna fight around krug fae light

@zak_vvv Yeah totally agree on the gold breakpoints for early game. EH healing is unbelievable in fights and 20% tenacity comes in clutch. im noticing in place of axiom, umbral + sweeper at level 9 feels really good for finding flanks too

@theantcliff I think it’s situational depending on how much gold you recall win. Just flex between axiom/umbral. Sundered 2nd does feel pretty lack luster I agree. EH item just keeps getting buffed good one riot, 2 buffs in a row now? I’m not complaining keep em coming 😭

@zak_vvv yeah you might be onto something, maybe once the ladder dust settles, axiom will win out over umbral. one things clear for sure tho, EH 2nd > SS 2nd 95% of the time. i'm going DD 2nd, EH 3rd in some games too

@theantcliff Dude there are just some games right now where it’s fighting non stop and the lack of axiom passive really hits 😭 maybe it’s because of the ladder being really imbalanced after the reset and people don’t know how to play around ult/flash timers?
