That feelin when you pass your Econ QUALIFYING EXAMS🎉 1st year was hard & uncomfortable, but I’m so grateful for everyone who has picked me up when I couldn’t do it on my own. Economics is a white man’s world & as a first gen Latina, I’m slowly creating more space for me in it😊

@JHB_econ Jessica, my dad only went to school until the age of 6… neither of my parents helped me with math. I am truly envious of this and every single comment on this. And yet, my goal is to hopefully raise kids on the right tail of that distribution 🤭

I was surprised by this bc math education at my kids’ school is so bad I’m supplementing at home. & then I got to the end of that sentence & realized they have their own personal math tutor with a BS in Math & Econ PhD & maybe we’re not the only ones doing math outside school…
