Dear Airtel, Since there's shortage of people that sell akara on Saturday morning, why don't you look into that business and leave this telecom business? Best disregard, An unsatisfied customer.

'Learning tech' is not supposed to be fun. We pay too much attention to tools. I have a MacBook Pro with M4 chip and 16gb memory, an iPad Pro with M4, Claude max subscription, 300mb/s internet, amongst other things, but it did not become significantly easier than when I used to have a laptop that could electrocute you if you used it while plugged in, depended on free midnight internet data to watch YouTube tutorials, read ebooks on my phone, etc. What you need is an insane drive and consistency to use the tools you have regardless of their efficiency. This won’t make any sense now until when you finally have all the tools you think you need and still can’t make it past technical interviews.

Learning tech is only fun if you have these things. ▪️Free food ▪️Free internet connection ▪️Steady light/Solar

Dear @AirtelNigeria I have packaged your so called 5G router back for you. I’m done and I’m not doing again. Thanks for all the bad moments I experienced during my time using this so called 5G router and even the smart mini Mifi I have lost gigs and I have been embarrassed during so many interviews, I paid for the service of your network but all you do is take my money and not render the service Things are not done like that, if you want to do something do it properly , there’s no free money anywhere, so there’s no reason why I should buy a router, pay monthly subscription and still be flight modding my phone just to find internet. I’m going to have to ask you to tender a public apology to me and everyone else who’s been affected by your disastrous network . Peace and love ❤️.

@theavatar_bode There is a difference between being intelligent and regurgitating the patterns you have seen in an intelligent person

@lienadsa The base of this discussion is whether AIs are intelligent. Intelligence has a straightforward definition and knowing how LLMs work to the smallest detail doesn’t take away from their intelligence.

@theavatar_bode Ai’s have been good at board games for like 20 years because board games are deterministic, so most decisions could be evaluated to 0’s and 1’s, so with enough computing power and memory, these ai’s could evaluate billions of decisions in seconds, thats not reasoning…

@lienadsa Okay. But humans will also mess around in unfamiliar situations. Trial and error, see what works and what doesn’t.

@theavatar_bode They cant stall in a game of chess or most board games because they evaluate all possible next move based the decision making algorithm (dfs, minmax, bfs, mcts or whatever), and LLMS do in fact stall the moment they encounter a new or unlikely situation, its called hallucinations

@lienadsa That is true. The way I see this (earlier as well I made a connection to humans) is that humans also do this. You see one thing happen and can assume what will follow. When LLMs do it, at what point do we stop referring to it as basic pattern matching and call it intelligence?

@theavatar_bode Its called inference, the nlp logic allows then to be able to do this, if the model knows a=b and b=c, it can infer that a=c

The reason it also has to be done publicly is that governors are reluctant to sign death warrants. There are currently 3k+ people across the country on death row because of this. These people just remain in prison indefinitely. This man does not deserve that.
