Having watched Carry on Abroad and more episodes of 'In Search of The Trojan War' - keeping up my intellectual energy watching Godzilla X Kong The New Empire.

Watching Rogue One this evening and well, Ben Mendelsohn plays a nasty greasy little prick so well doesn't he? Shame about fake Cushing mind you.

Blood pressure is still unnecessarily high but importantly heart rate per my readings is now 87 or so, which is much much better.

Allowed to be properly back home alone in my flat again after the first stage of the recovery process and the exploding cistern disaster of last week and it'll be nice to sleeping in my own bed again regularly and taking all my pills at home (yay!)

Listening to Bach's St Matthew Passion on Radio 3 and that man really could compose a bit.

Staying at the parents before heading off to Northumberland tomorrow and thus having to watch actual linear telly. That Katya Adler documentary on BBC2 just now about Germany and Spain was fascinating powerful TV.

A Sunday and I'm off for the best part of the next two weeks so as legally required I'm watching a James Bond picture. In this case, one of my favourites, The Living Daylights.

Gad but a good cup of tea is a wonder of civilisation.

Shame there was no Six Nations rugby this year.

An evening of watching Timeshift episodes on youtube and gad rail travel used to have some glamour about it.

It's very much nights like this when one can picture King Oswiu of Northumbria sat in front of the telly at Bamburgh Castle watching Bede's About, wondering "why the fuck was I named Oswiu and not a normal name?"

The Fugitive is such a deliciously no nonsense no easy plays picture - it takes 15 minutes before we get to the meat of the whole shebang and then just away we go, no villain backstories, just magic and 1990s Harrison Ford.
