The Hermanator! (Paul Hermans)
Great talk from Ben Jacob on key tips to maximize corn and soybean yields. Study on total nutrients and importance of it to help build a big factory at V6-V8 stage for higher yields moving forward. #ontag #Agronomy@PioneerSeeds

Is Tar Spot in S IN in early June an issue? Not yet. Yes it is early, but the environment is important. TS thrives in cooler temps, and more importantly, wet conditions. It does not look like we are going to have the moisture to drive rapid disease progression any time soon.

@baldagronomist If I’m feeling fancy, ‘66 Mustang GT Fastback. But the “car” I really want is a ‘77 F250 crew cab highboy.

You are going to love this hybrid. Look at that cob size and the kernels. Great plant structure, great roots, test weigh, and plant health. P1185 family of hybrids @PioneerSeeds

As I washed corn roots tonight, I was a little annoyed my 4-yo was excavating the yard. 30 seconds later he’s washing roots like dad!

Imagine how much we could scavenge with roots like this in the field.

It’s 85 degrees and looked like this at 9pm. 6 hours ago, it was 93 and raining. Frogeye, grey leaf spot and southern rust love this

If anyone wants deja vu, take a trip back to 2017-18 as xtend soybeans were ramping up. “Leaf distortion” blamed on everything but dicamba. Ground truth everything, but if you hear hoof beats, think horses… not zebras.

AMS does not cause leaf cupping, roundup does not cause leaf cupping, liberty does not cause leaf cupping. If you are hearing that they do, pull that string a little harder and see what unravels.
Aaron Hager@UIWeedSci

Speculation abounds that AMS causes leaf cupping in LL soybean. Here are results of a recent UI trial: 43 ounces of Liberty combined with 3 rates of AMS or a “contamination” rate of dicamba. No leaf cupping from any AMS treatment. No leaf cupping in any other UI LL experiments.
