@BigHossHog I understand this might be a baiting post. But I am a die hard Kentucky fan that is happy for him. He won us a championship. The final years were rough (I think you could even agree to that and wouldnt be happy in our shoes). I hope you all win.

A) Golden beat Hurley when it mattered
B) Golden is 13 years younger with far more left in the tank
C) Golden has 95 wins in year four at UF; Hurley needed five full years to reach 100
D) Hurley routinely bitches out his own fans, opposing fans, officials, his own players, and any inanimate object foolish enough to get in his way before he can find his sippy cup. He blames everyone but himself for losses, and while most coaches chew out the refs from time to time (Golden definitely does) Hurley does it twice as much as anybody else. And for an added bonus, he does it in such a bitchy, melodramatic, whiny way that I’d hate it even if he did it as Florida’s coach… there’s sticking up for your team and then there’s just being a spoiled manchild.
Then again, I understand why a Kentucky account would get Florida and Connecticut mixed up. Both programs are light years ahead of Kentucky right now. #BBN has far bigger problems right now.

I’m gonna tell you a secret. You may not like it. But you need to hear it.
In the timespan that today’s college athletes have been alive, Florida has been a better basketball program than Kentucky.
Congrats on winning four natties before black athletes were even allowed to play I guess. But while you archaeologists spent the last 20-25 years flexing shit that happened in the 40’s and 50’s, Florida has leveled up its own hoops program and lapped #BBN. Florida has more national championships (3-1) and trips to the Final Four (5-4) than Kentucky since we turned the page to this century.
One more quick piece of advice. Keep those Segregation Era titles and pretend like they matter if you want, but at some point, Kentucky is going to have to win something in the modern era in order for y’all to justify climbing on your high horse and acting like you still rule the SEC. Until then, Kentucky basketball is a vat of acid where player development and high expectations go to die year after year… right after St. Peter’s, Oakland, or Robert Morris read you your last rites.

I am generally encouraged by this game. Kentucky played awful early and fought back and was as good or better than Florida late Missed layups, poor box outs and the Gators making threes (plus some horrendous calls) were too much to overcome But Kentucky can win in Rupp
