Imagine how much better Subnautica would be if the developers weren't libtard faggots. We saw inklings of this in the first game with how you couldn't fabricate complex weapons and the fact every character was some mystery meat mutt, but it got worse in the second one.

If a small hostile creature attacks you, in Subnautica 1 and Below Zero, you have a knife to fend them off - in Subnautica 2, your hatchet does fuck all to the fish trying to rip your insides out. Any "You just want rifles and nukes" arguments deliberately ignore the point.

Letting you stab Leviathans with a knife in Subnautica 1 and Below Zero was terrible. I've seen many people discover it by accident and pretty much ruin their games
I do think they need to add more interesting behavior and options for you to deal with the fauna though.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO SUBNAUTICA 2.. > be Subnautica 2 developers > player politely asks why you can’t kill most creatures > level designer snaps back: "This is not a killing game, go play Sons of the Forest if you want violence" > another dev adds that big creatures will stay safe because "the game should feel right" The first Subnautica let you stab leviathans with a knife. Now they want you to peacefully coexist with 50-meter monsters like it’s a underwater yoga class. Why do developers treat their most loyal fans like this? Why can’t they just answer normally without being condescending and aggressive? Loyal players are the ones who supported you for years. If you keep talking down to them, they’ll simply stop playing. And in the end, you - the developers - will be the ones who lose the most. Peak "go touch grass" energy in 2026. You think this approach will help the game long-term or are we watching it slowly die?
