A little late but I have left my role as Performance Coach with @bigetronesports Thank you everyone for the last few months, it's been an honour. We've been through a lot of ups and downs together. But this is where we part ways.

Teams are wasting their time practicing. Not because coaches are lazy. Not because players don’t care. Not because effort is missing. But because most teams have no idea how learning actually works. I’ve spent the last 10 years coaching sport, and I’m currently completing a PhD in skill acquisition (how people learn, adapt, and become experts). And once you see it, you can’t unsee it: High-performance teams spend 80–90% of their time in practice… yet practice quality is the least interrogated part of the system. When performance drops, the response is almost universal: → add more reps → add more sessions → train harder → "trust the process" → reference “10,000 hours” like it’s a law of nature If volume were enough, everyone would be elite by now. Most environments don’t design learning. They hope it happens. Practice becomes busy, exhausting, and emotionally convincing — but educationally random. Improvement occurs by accident, not intention. That’s the real problem. Not effort. Not motivation. Not talent. Training quality. If you want to stop wasting your most valuable resource as a team: Practice Time, buy the first Volume in Skill Acquisition for Coaches. Link below👇

I could've just repost this tweet and give up, but I want to share my thoughts on the future of PUBG Esports What bothers me most is the fact Krafton was planning the FPP -> TPP switch for over a year, and yet they decided to send off FPP in a matter that seemingly burned a lot of bridges with the esport's fans "We heard from fans and players that the gap between playing PUBG and watching PUBG Esports sometimes felt too wide." Here's the catch - did you really did anything to change that while FPP was on? We got 3 years of "aligning Normal, Ranked and Esports modes", and breaking the meta balance by adding overpowered C4s, Panzers and BRDMs @Fludd did more alone with his guides to introduce casuals into Esports meta than you ever did There has been a lot of words that I've seen, either publically or in DMs, of constructive feedbacks from players and community to Krafton, or about how they felt ignored and/or not listened by them. "We also tested and verified our vision through the PUBG Players Tour (PPT), which saw over 5,000 unique competitors each season." You mean the same PPT that had problems getting a full lobby for Scrims in EMEA, Korea and Americas most of the year? Yeah, sure. Just show the exact numbers then, Krafton. All this discussion could've been shut down with one Dev Letter, instead @tgltnPUBG and others had to risk their reputation for you instead. "12 PGS events a year" Congratulations, you've just made Global Series title a tier 2 trophy. People already were questioning how important the PGS wins were with back-to-back events, it's not getting better by having 3x more of the same. This expansion can also easily lead to an oversaturation that we haven't seen in PUBG Esports since 2019 - assuming no format changes compared to 2025, we will get 432 PGS games in 2026 (12 PGS x 36 games per PGS) That's before PNC, PGC, EWC, ENC and Regionals. About the Regionals... I've been told by multiple sources that next year will have only two Regional tournaments - one in April as a qualifier to PGS, EWC and (most likely) PNC, and one in September that will qualify teams to the last PGS events - with both regionals granting PGC points. I really REALLY hope Krafton has some trump card here, because otherwise that would mean a 6 MONTH wait for players that failed to qualify to PGS/ PGC at the end of last season until start of next Regionals. In overall, I'm very skeptical as for where the PUBG Esports is heading forward, and I've lost a lot of trust in their management as they've been pushing their own ideas instead of properly communicating and trying to build this esports with it's players, teams and viewers. I intend to give TPP and Krafton one year to prove me wrong on my thoughts above and growing negativity towards them, that I've been feeling more recently. But I've lost a lot of trust about where we're going, and trust isn't something that can be repaired overnight.

I understand, Krafton wants to get more casual fans into Ranked/ Esports. But why are you doing this by slowly alienating the Esports community that's been here for years? You're gambling the scene that you've built for years for future that may never come.

From sitting on the floor in non-league to walking out at the Theatre of Dreams, all in just over a decade. I remember sitting on the grass at Wealdstone because the bench was full, waiting for my chance and hoping for a moment to prove myself. Last weekend, after a long layoff, I was sitting on the bench at Old Trafford in the Premier League. It’s funny how life comes full circle. I know some players get frustrated being on the bench, and I get it. I felt the same way during the first few months of my Sunderland career. But sometimes, you need to pause and realise just how far you’ve come. I’ve played in the Ryman Premier, Conference South, League Two, League One, and the Championship. Social media can make it look like every player’s journey is smooth, like we’ve all got it figured out. The truth is, we don’t. In every league I’ve played in, I’ve doubted myself. Wondered if I really belonged. That’s just being human. No matter the level, my approach has never changed: Play football. Did the match go well? Brilliant. You worked hard, it paid off. Smile, enjoy it, and go again tomorrow. Did it go badly? Brilliant. More lessons to learn before you level up. Then take a step back and understand why you made that mistake. Ask yourself: What would I do differently next time? Then show up the next day with the same smile and the same hunger, but now with more knowledge — because you faced your mistakes, owned them, and learned from them. That compound effect, learning from every mistake big or small, is what separates progress from standing still. You’ve got to build a healthy relationship with mistakes if you want to grow. For me, that’s been the key 🔑

I've had a lot of people asking me how to become an analyst or coach. I always respond that they should focus on bringing unique skills and innovation to their prospective team. No one is looking for just another pair of eyes to VoD review. Or at least they shouldn't be

Over 1000 regional games in 2025 later, I present to you a look into the average eliminations per game in PUBG Esports. Split the data into three groups, one per each phase of the year: - light blue are Regionals for PGS7 and PGS8 - dark blue are EWC qualifiers - red are Regionals for PGS9 and PGS10, PLAYED WITH RECALLS ON On the global level, you can notice a pretty consistent uptick of ~2 eliminations per game across all regions and stages. These stats also hint at a lower averages across the board for the Finals compared to the Groups/ Weekly Stages, with exception of Korea where those numbers stayed consistent across the board.

I've looked into the total and per-game average of eliminations scored at the first Recall globals for @PUBGEsports (PNC and EWC25), and compared them to last year of pre-recall Globals. Not a lot of data so far for Recall, but first globals hint at what could be a uptick of ~2 eliminations per game with them turned on.
