The last time I was genuinely impressed by the amount of stylish people on streets was in San Sebastián, Spain. And I remember being surprised at the time. I can understand this happening in Milan, Paris, New York, London..but San Sebastián? So I did a bit of research. Turns out the Spanish royal court summered there every year from 1885. Naturally, the aristocracy followed. So dressing well in public became the norm. Btw, Cristóbal Balenciaga (one of the greatest couturiers who ever lived) opened his first boutique there in 1919. His early clients were Basque nobility and Spanish royalty. In terms of fashion style, it's not flashy or Mediterranean. The Basque aesthetic leans toward quality, restraint, and fit. Which is closer to French sensibility (the French border is only 20km away) than Andalusian.

Noelia Castillo Ramos was euthanised yesterday at around 6 p.m. local time at Hospital Residencia Sant Camil near Barcelona. In 2022, Noelia was placed in a state institution amid family difficulties. There, she was gang-raped by a group of North African migrants. The trauma broke Noelia. Months later, she attempted suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a building. She survived the fall but was left paralysed. Instead of offering long-term support, the Spanish authorities offered assisted suicide as a solution. Yesterday, despite a large group of people showing up at the hospital to support her, Noelia sadly decided to end her life. Her rapists were never arrested and remain free men today. RIP Noelia. We will not forget you. 💔

@thebugio No te digo que no, pero igualmente hay muchos lugares con villa así sea pequeña. Hay países donde se puede vivir también off grid pero con una mejor economía, orden social y gente buena.

Mi viejo siempre decía: "este país es una trampa, pensás que va a cambiar y nunca lo hace". En ese tiempo ni había un éxodo tan numeroso de capital humano. Hoy en día esa gente bocho se fue y ganan fortuna. Son valorados. Es muy difícil arreglar eso. Es irreal pensar que vuelvan.
