Thought I’d share my structure for running a football camp… Firstly as much as most kids will say they want to play football all day it is too much 8.30-9.00am - Arrival 9.00-9.30am socialising (we split the children into teams at the start of the week) 9.30am - boots on, then fun activities in teams. (Rounders, Capture the cones, Football golf ⛳️ etc) 10.30am - Snack time (I also used this time to talk to players individually, complete player profiles for kids I coach) for kids I don’t it was an opportunity to get to know them. 11.15am - Technical based practice ⚽️ this was chance for me to be selfish and get some coaching in 😂 12.30pm - Lunch (we would get into group conversations mainly about the psychological side of the game as this was our theme for the week. 1.15pm - Clean up … the kids had to wide their own tables and hoover up 1.30pm - SSG’s teams play a round robin (mainly 3v3 no GK’s) 2.00pm - Full match everyone in 2.45pm - Pack up ready for home time
