Professors: How are yall teaching students to ask for letter of recommendations? Do you have formal verbiage in your syllabus? Do you have minimum conditions (a certain grade in your class, participation, time frame, etc)?

@BellaBaddie__ Already done. I listened to GNX so much last year that my end of year wrap on Apple Music strictly said GNX. Except one time in November I put on Gracie for my daughter 😭

@ibukunoyinleye Yes I agree… should’ve totally notified me. I haven’t had this student in a few semesters. I only know the school, not the program they’re applying for. I have so many questions

@thechemyst_ As a student, I mostly ensure I have a personal relationship with the professors, in addition to having a good grade in their class. This makes things easier for the professor in question. Of course, I make sure to inform them before sending in the request too.

I just got a common app request to write a LOR… student didn’t reach out to me prior or anything… I just got the request…. Excuse me?! That’s is not how this work!

The weird thing about reading so much as a child and gaining a huge vocabulary from that is I can't define a lot of the words I use, I just...know that they would fit correctly in a specific sentence? Does anyone else experience that?

I don’t wanna be mean but these students need to realize that an 11:59pm deadline means 11:59 pm…. Deadlines are there for a reason… especially at the end of the semester.

My Apple Music 2025 replay only played @kendricklamar 🤣 I listed to GNX five months nonstop 😭 And guess what?! IM STILL PLAYING IT EVERYDAY!
