It's about time I introduced myself. I'm Nick. That ugly mug is me. @goddardgaming_ I've been in this space since 2020. And yes... Dogecoin was my gateway. Don't judge me. 😂 Like a lot of people here, I've experienced far more downs than ups. Why? Because I've watched too many projects with genuine potential fall apart for the same reasons: • Overpromising and underdelivering. • Pivoting so many times that they lose their identity. • Misusing community funds for personal gain. • Or simply disappearing and leaving holders behind. After seeing it happen over and over, I decided I'd rather be part of the solution than continue complaining about the problem. Last weekend, I officially took over Chill Bugs. When I announced the takeover at noon on Sunday, the collection had virtually no momentum. There were zero offers, and the floor price sat around $0.53. Today, it's trading around an $11 floor with roughly $8 offers. Have I built some revolutionary product already? No. So far, I've simply: Refreshed the branding. Made quality-of-life improvements. Surrounded myself with quality people Been consistently active on X and Discord. Put the spotlight back on the incredible artwork. And, most importantly... I've shown up every single day. Sometimes consistency and transparency are more valuable than another roadmap filled with promises. This Friday, I'll be sharing some direction on where funds will be going The days in between announcements will involve chillin, memes, videos, art contests, bounties, sweep contests, trait hunting, chillin, and talking about where we think this can realistically go I've had a lot of people DM me asking if I can help revive their CTO or free mint. I don't have a magic formula. I only have my approach specifically. I originally bought into Chill Bugs because I genuinely loved the art. Like many collections, it eventually crashed to almost nothing. Instead of walking away, I acquired the project and committed myself to becoming the kind of founder I wish I'd had more of over the last five years. I'm not promising overnight success. I'm promising that I'll keep showing up, keep building, communicate honestly, and earn your trust through actions instead of hype. Let's see what we can build together. 💚🐞

Seems like lately some people been upset about new mints, new projects etc It’s a new world for me because tbh for my first few years in the space I only traded BAYC, Quirkies, Pudgy and Punks… didn’t mint anything The only other ETH I deployed was supporting my friends smaller collections, people who supported Quirks The original founder of Quirks was always against bringing in WL collabs and I always supported that cause most of the time it’s a distraction, it can upset some people and it does take some liquidity out of the ecosystem. Lately a lot of people have approached me about GTD spots for the community which I’ve turned down all but 1-2 I’m not a KOL, I’m not a curator, I’m not a collab manager lol I own, love and am very focused on building one thing… QUIRKIES That’s my life mission, goal and passion If there was a fair way to bring opportunities to everyone in Quirks , maybe… but most of the time it’s 10-20 spots and uncertainty about if the project will make it anyway. It’s just not worth the downside tbh Overall, I am a collector at heart… not a degen trader cause I really don’t sell anything lol but a degen collector yea. When I like something I just buy it. My rule of them to be honest, has always been… I don’t mint, I buy on secondary. I even did it with projects I love like DDG and Nibbles It’s not personal, I just don’t like minting stuff really and I’m also very cautious about being a leader in the space and how my decisions can influence. I don’t want to be taken advantage of. Example: I bought ShellMates on secondary (missed the mint) and posted that I loved the art… people see that and go buy… ShellMates rug… I feel bad even tho they made the choice, it’s not the best feeling Lately tons of new mints, tons of people asking… same goes for everyone, I’ll respectfully pass and if I like it I’ll buy on secondary. I’m making my stand cause I’m not a KOL, not a collab manager and not gonna be scammer exit liquidity either haha If one person loses, we all lose so moving forward… I’m sure some will be upset but you won’t see me supporting new mints unless I know the team very well and they’ve been a Quirkie holder and supporter I may buy, but I’ll collect in silence til trust is built. I’m not going to auto post anymore because some people see that as alpha and I don’t want to give projects I’m unsure about any platform. If you’re launching something new, impress me with the art, impress me with the build, impress me with your actions post mint… I’ll enjoy secondary shopping for what I like If I buy something, it’s with my money, I’ve never once been paid to promote nor have I accepted anything to promote. I’m not a promoter. I’m a collector who loves to share what I’m collecting. Big difference and I need to protect that going forward. Why am I writing this ? Idk lol nothing happened but just not feeling great about the new mint side of things… most of it is slop going to 0 within a month anyway I don’t like the nature of the space atm… personally I’m more of a consistency, longevity and support those who support me guy The only upcoming project I am excited for is @OriginalBlokyz because we have a physical collectible collab with them as well Even that is gonna be tough cause idk how many spots for their mint I will get… or how it will work. Likely whatever it is it won’t be enough for all the Quirkies community… and I don’t want to have to pick who makes the cut. Leaving one person out is a loss. Anyway lol 8 am in Japan thoughts Appreciate whoever read… new mint venting complete. Im too busy building for nonsense 🤣
