I love buildless web apps with vanilla JavaScript modules. I despise apps made a year or two ago being broken today because popular build tools had a break in some dependency. As I get older, the more valuable time is, the more expensive build tools are.

@KevinJPowell But something else I should have mentioned is user comes first. So if the complicated solution provides a more robust solution for user circumstances then that wins.

@KevinJPowell I value readability over ease to use. In your example I'd choose the latter but ensure good documentation. My experience has been that if it's hard to read it just gets forgotten about or replaced and doesn't get fixed. People reinvent rather than work to understand.

I get pushback on complex-looking CSS at times. Let's say you have a class in your CSS that does something specific & how and where to use that class is well documented. Does it matter if you look at the CSS itself and don't understand how it works at first, like this example?

@theclarkofben @CodysLab I used to watch Codyslab all the time. then that happened l, and the videos "went cold" no notifications and no recommendations for his channel. That was 100% SBanning. not only leaving the channels reputation damaged, but removing the fun exciting attitude of the channel.
