Nothing in life is ever linear. That includes recovery. Be patient with your body. Be kind to your body. Listen to your body. Do what your body needs you to do at that moment in time. Don’t rush the process.

Things that create inflammation within the body: •Lack of sleep •Poor diet •Over-training •Injury •Stress •Negative thoughts In an ideal world, we would address all of these issues 100% of the time. But that’s not always possible. Do what you can, when you can

You look at the board and you know if you do it Rx, you’ll do it with terrible form. Do you: a) Go Rx anyway b) Scale

If there’s anything that you will take away from a session with me... it’s how to breathe and brace properly!

Smashing PB’s everyday with horrendous form isn’t a sign of how strong you are. Strength is knowing your limits, working on improving your technique consistently, not giving in to your ego, and earning the right to lift heavy shit.

Destroying your body everyday through exercise isn’t a sign of how strong you are. Strength is knowing your body well enough to know when it needs to rest and recover. Be in tune with and listen to your body intently.

I’m literally done with pretending in life just to please other people. Never again will I make a decision just to please someone else. Neither should you.

If you could go back in time and give yourself some advice when you were just starting out on your CrossFit journey, what would that advice be? Mine would be: Just do you and stop worrying about what other people are doing. Get the fundamentals right first. Take rest days.

Being in tune with your body is knowing when a training session is likely to do more harm than good. Listen to what it needs rather than listening to the guilt you feel by not training. That guilt is lying to you! You won’t lose all your gains if you decide to rest that day!

“I have flat feet” is not a good excuse in 99% of cases for poor squat form. Just because you may not have a “normal” textbook arch doesn’t mean you can’t learn how to stabilize & create a balanced 🦶🏼.

What’s the absolute worst thing that can happen if you don’t train everyday? Now think about what the absolute worst thing that can happen is if you don’t get enough #restdays? I know which scenario I prefer the outcome of. How about you? #crossfit #functionalfitness
