Croydon go into this one on a good run of form, with just 4 defeats in the league since 10th January. Sitting 4 points above us, with just 4 games to go and all to play for as, both teams jostle for prime play off places. We make the journey on the back of a defeat to Margate at the weekend, our second defeat since 10th January. The boys will look to get back in the groove, starting with the formidable task of taking points off of Croydon Athletic. NEXT UP ‼️ And, arguably a season defining weekend of football awaits us as, Saturday we face Margate FC and then Monday, we make the short trip to Croydon Athletic as 2nd plays 3rd in a potential title/playoffs position battle. “The Gate” come to us on a great run, 5 consecutive wins including, a 2-0 defeat of League leaders Three Bridges FC. This run has elevated them to within touching distance of the play offs, a win is essential for them to keep the pressure on. The Leafe are flying, unbeaten since 10th Jan with 3 draws and 9 victories (8 consecutive), we’re still in the fight for the title (albeit an outside chance) and will look to end the season as high as possible (hoping for home advantage in the playoffs). The boys have been doing the business on the pitch, now we ask you (the Leafe Army) to do the business off it. This time last year you turned up in your numbers to roar the boys on to Wembley, now we ask you to, turn up once again and roar the boys on to an historic promotion attempt. The biggest problem for me is that we keep treating racial incidents at football as a footballing issue. If somebody did this at a Tesco’s would they get a lifetime ban from that store, being that the current solution at football right now is a lifetime ban from said club… 🤔
