@Rex877141295717 @_Shadow_reign @notcee_fan Even so, there would be other things in the last 8 years that you could use to your advantage. Lots of stocks that have gone up since then or bet on sports teams you know will win. Of course, in your case you would also have to have your parents or relative buy on your behalf

I get what you are saying, and your testing does show the phone can push higher performance. But that’s different from how it’s designed to operate under sustained load. Gaming + hotspot is a continuous thermal stress scenario, and OEMs often cap performance early to avoid long-term heat buildup, even if the device doesn’t feel “hot” externally. Internal temps and battery stress matter more than surface feel. Also, comparing with older phones or lighter games isn’t always apples to apples — chip efficiency, thermal design, and tuning strategies differ a lot across devices. So yes, the throttling may feel aggressive, but that alone doesn’t prove a fault. Right now it still looks more like conservative tuning than a clear defect. If you can show the same workload behaving differently on other units/regions or similar hardware, that would make a much stronger case. @oppo

🚨 FINAL 24 HOURS. Today my warranty expires and @OPPOIndia is still stalling. 10 Service Visits, 8 Logs, and I finally caught the culprit: com.oplus.powermonitor killing Hotspot/FPS at 38°C. This is a software defect, not hardware! Help me get justice! #OppoF29Pro #TechJustice

Happy to share - Now I am a House Owner in Lucknow 🏠 Waise mera ek ghar village me hai, lekin main 5 saal ki age se ghar se bahar raha hoon, Isiliye maine apni almost poori life alag-alag rented gharon me hi bitayi hai. Lekin ab mere liye bahut khushi ki baat hai ki maine apni khud ki zameen buy karke ek ghar banaya hai aur ab yahan shift ho chuka hoon. Aaj Mummy mere saath is duniya me nahi hain - isi baat ka dukh hai. Wo meri sabse badi inspiration rahi hain. Lekin khushi is baat ki hai ki aaj mere paas mera khud ka ek ghar hai jahan main apni wife aur Father ke saath rehta hoon. Aur saath hi main khud ek Father hoon, jahan meri bachhi apne ghar me badi hogi - ye mere liye aur bhi badi khushi ki baat hai. 🤗 Thank you Bhagwan, mere Mata-Pita aur aap sabko kyunki aaj main jahan hoon, usme sabka contribution hai🙏

A drop from 60 to 30fps is definitely noticeable, agreed. But that still doesn’t automatically mean it’s a fault. The OPPO F29 Pro isn’t designed as a sustained performance or gaming focused device rather I think it prioritises thermals, battery longevity, and stability over peak FPS. What you are seeing looks like an aggressive thermal ramp-down once internal temps cross a threshold, which can happen even without direct sunlight. Also, hotspot + gaming together is one of the heaviest thermal loads on any phone, even on low graphics. The real question is whether the throttling curve is too aggressive, not whether throttling exists. Unless you can compare firmware behaviour across regions or show unsafe thresholds, this still looks more like conservative tuning than a clear defect. It would be interesting to see the EU/China firmware behaviour on the same device. @oppo

You're assuming throttling = defect, but that’s not necessarily true. Most OEMs deliberately tune thermal limits conservatively for markets like India to balance battery health, safety, and sustained performance. Bypassing the power monitor demonstrates the hardware's capacity for increased output, rather than its recommended operation under standard conditions. Unless you can compare firmware behaviour across regions or show unsafe throttling thresholds, this looks more like aggressive tuning than a software bug. It would be interesting to see the EU/China firmware behaviour on the same device. @oppo
