@miniversesocial @MGAEnt I had this curing for 24 hours and even put it in the uv oven for 30 minutes. It's still sticky and broken. This is my first failed miniverse and I've been buying them for like two years.

@Walmart I still ended up buying 90% of my card but it would have been nice for them to price match it :-( :-(

@Walmart I understand not price matching with other retailers like Target and Amazon, but you won't price check yourselves?

@Walmart, I am never a complainer, but I have a question. How come your stores won't price match the price it says online? I'm not going to save $3 just to have to wait 2 hours

@RutgersAltRoute It's hard to balance everything going on as a teacher. If I'm not working towards growth mindset, I'm working towards differentiated instruction or backwards planning a unit. But I do feel that this one is the easiest to implement with other practices as it puts students first

@RutgersAltRoute Feedback that marks improvement of a skill is the best feedback. Pair that with a small goal for the next time they have something to turn in and there you have A1 feedback

@RutgersAltRoute Be aware of the language you use when planning/instructing. Don't flat out say, "this is a hard assignment" as the students may preemptively give up. Calling it a challenge may bode better.

Framing, or how teachers introduce new concepts and tasks to students, is the focus of Q3. Framing can steer students to a fixed or growth mindset. It helps students feel free to be a work in progress as they learn. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset

@RutgersAltRoute This comes naturally in a history elective. I try to include lessons that reference student interests to build this concept that history is for them. With their interests piqued, I find them more willing to learn a bit more.

@RutgersAltRoute I think one of the largest challenges can be trying to encourage mindsets for your students that may be different than what they see in the world outside the classroom.

@RutgersAltRoute I think we need to work school wide (through pd) to normalize school wide accommodations and communications with the students and their families

For our final question (Q5) consider your classroom AND school-wide behavior management and discipline policies. #TeacherEd #SpecialEd

@RutgersAltRoute You need to be supports constantly. For some students, getting that "hey that's great work!" from their teacher when they've completed a goal (no matter the size) is really a critical moment for them.

Teachers play a role in helping students learn and practice self-awareness skills and communicate their understanding. For Q4 think about what you’ve done or ideas you’d like to implement to help students be self-advocates, agents of their own success #TeacherEd #SpecialEd

@RutgersAltRoute I don't find this to be an issue in either of the class subjects I teach as both are rooted in personal identity and social issues. I've had students with learning disabilities use the course work to discuss advocacy for learning disabilities, and often give choice boards

For Q3 be specific content area & how you support student success, for example, your classroom environment, assignments, and assessments #TeacherEd #SpecialEd Tip: To connect with our teachers in your subject area, use the # for your content area, i.e #arted #mathchat #scichat

@RutgersAltRoute I use these for modification, and if a student gets distracted or really doesn't like it, about half the srats don't have them so they can switch chairs.

@RutgersAltRoute I vary lesson types and activities and always provide alternative options for texts including audio books and standard e copies. I have two labeled special education classes, but there are always students in every class that can benefit from a type of modification.
