🚨| George Russell Discusses Accidental Creation of Viral 'T-Pose':
— George Russell shared that his now-famous "T-pose" originated unintentionally during a late-night F1 photoshoot. Speaking to media, Russell explained:
“Ah, the infamous T-pose. So, this was the F1 intro that I did in 2023. It wasn't intentional at all. It was actually out of boredom and tiredness.”
— The pose, which became a social media sensation, was captured when Russell rested his hands on the walls during a break. He recounted the moment:
“It was about 11:30 at night. We were on this long photo shoot, and I just put my hands up on the side of the wall, just waiting for my next shot and the producer was like, 'That's pretty cool.'”
— The unexpected popularity of the pose led Russell to incorporate it into his victory celebrations. Reflecting on its creation, he added:
“And next thing I know, the T-pose was invented. So, I need to thank that guy, we need to find out who the director was that day.”
— Russell's embrace of the T-pose continued as he celebrated his win at the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix with the gesture. His strong start to the 2026 season included victories in the Australian Grand Prix and Chinese sprint race. However, his championship lead was challenged by teammate Kimi Antonelli, who now holds a 20-point advantage after four rounds.

🚨| Jenson Button Discusses Mental Strain of Formula 1:
— Jenson Button shared insights into the mental challenges faced by Formula 1 drivers, emphasizing the demanding nature of the sport. Speaking to media, Button explained:
“I think his calm attitude was great on tough days.”
— Reflecting on his career, Button highlighted the importance of self-reliance in overcoming personal challenges. He remarked:
“I don't really think that anyone can make you a better racing driver. It's down to yourself to sort out your demons.”
— Button also discussed the role of leadership and listening in the sport, noting:
“I think people can listen, and I think that's what you need to do as a leader. Listen to your driver's problems, but don't be too opinionated.”
— Addressing the frequent losses compared to wins in racing, Button shared a conversation with Roger Federer about the mental aspect of sports:
“And it comes down to you lose more than you win. I spoke to Roger Federer last year about sport and the mental side of it, and he said, 'Yeah, you've got to think I'm the most successful tennis player ever. And I lost 75% of my matches, and that's a great record.'”
— Button reflected on his own career statistics, illustrating the mental toughness required in Formula 1:
“In F1, I raced 300 grands prix, and I won 15. So, I lost 285 races. Lewis Hamilton, extraordinary what he's achieved, but he's still lost a lot more than he's won. And that is mentally why it's tough in any sport because you lose more than you win.”

🚨| Red Bull Ford F1 Engine's Competitiveness Against Mercedes:
— Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance director, emphasized that Red Bull Ford is competitive as a newcomer, though the competitive landscape shifts with conditions. Speaking to media, Rushbrook remarked:
“It’s been a long journey, three and a half years to get the power unit on track, so it was fantastic to see that in Melbourne for the start of the season. And it’s great for Ford to be properly back in the sport.”
— He acknowledged the challenges faced in developing the power unit, highlighting the unexpected advancements in manufacturing processes. Rushbrook explained:
“The biggest area that we didn't expect is how far it's pushed us on some things like additive manufacturing or advanced manufacturing. The ability to print parts, make them so quickly with the turnaround, and with the quality control and the precision that's needed, the dimensional control that's needed.”
— Rushbrook noted that the power unit's performance varies with environmental condition. He stated:
“I think the conditions certainly have an impact on it, because these power units are certainly sensitive to temperatures and to the environmental conditions. So we are seeing differences in those different conditions, and that's part of what we need to sort out as well.”
— Despite the progress, Rushbrook acknowledged that Mercedes remains the benchmark in the field, with Red Bull Ford still needing improvements. He commented:
“Well, yeah, it’s pretty good.”
— Max Verstappen supported this view, indicating that the power unit's combustion engine and electrical power deployment were not Red Bull's main issues during the Japanese Grand Prix.
— The development of the Red Bull Ford power unit began in 2021 after Honda's exit, with the construction of new facilities completed in 55 weeks. The partnership with Ford evolved beyond initial agreements, with Ford contributing more than expected.
— The FIA has clarified that factors affecting engine performance, like fluid temperatures and aerodynamics, will be part of on-car measurements without correction methodologies.
