@arthur07x @0xmonac @NetflixAnime If it's following the leak from Reddit then the first cour will be 11 episodes, which tells me it's more than just the second stage. Probably the second and third stage. I'd be fine with that, but again we won't know until it comes out.

@thefirefridge @0xmonac @NetflixAnime If its just the second stage no way it will be 12 episodes, there isn't that much content for 12 eps.
I think it would be better to just do like JJK, half season, break and then the other half after break. My guess is it will be a random amount of episodes per stage.

@5eDimension I'm pretty happy. It's not continuous weekly but thats a compromise I can accept. I'm just gald the conversation around Jojo will last for months online when it's airing rather than like a week or two and then all discussion online dies.

Netflix communique enfin. Ils ont confondu « soutien incroyable » et « pression spirituelle intense » mais au moins les choses sont dites. On aura bien droit à de la diffusion hebdomadaire (mais avec des pauses entre chaque étape). Je trouve ça très bien.

@YorhaNier9S I think SBR is longer by page count since it was a monthly manga. Also, SBR is way more difficult to animate because of the horses and such

I get Steel Ball run is like the second longest JoJo part but Diamond is unbreakable is longer than Stone ocean and it aired normally

@VocalPineapple It just means people prioritized different things. I only cared about weekly bc dropping all the episodes at once kills hype and online relevance. I don't mind waiting. Part 7 was always gonna take a while to animate, so production should get a little breathing room

Jojo fandom celebrating getting the second stage weekly instead of the rest of the part like we aren't still going to have to wait months inbetween stages like we currently are is embarrassing ngl. They didn't change anything, they just told you what their already leaked bad plan is, and ya'll throwing a party on here Idgi.

@PART7Confirmed I'm in the same boat. I only cared about it releasing "weekly" with regards to community discussion. Weekly releases keep jojo relevant online longer, give each episode a chance to shine, and are better for memes. I don't mind waiting between cours. Most anime are like that

We were gonna have breaks anyway regardless of batches or weekly, I don’t understand why people are upset. SBR isn’t going to be easy to animate at all. It’s not like anything we’ve ever had before in the adaption of the series. This is a huge task of animation history.

I'm okay with this. What mostly bothered me with the batches formula was how it killed hype. With episodes releasing weekly, people will talk about Jojo longer and each episode will get to shine. I don't mind waiting. Really wish they just said this all from the beginning though.

@arthur07x @0xmonac @NetflixAnime We don't know how many episodes it'll be. It could be just second stage. But that could also be just a naming scheme and the next cour is like 12 episodes. And I really don't mind waiting a few months between episodes. Most anime are like that

@0xmonac @NetflixAnime Nope this is good news. Weekly episodes is exactly what I wanted. I'm fine waiting a few months between cours if the animation is good. That just makes it like any other anime. It was the "dropping every episode at once then dipping out" part that bugged me

@NetflixAnime So.. you have plans to wait another 6 months, do stage 2 in weekly releases and then go radio silent until stage 3 months later and repeat..
This isn't weekly or batches.. this is the worst possible combination of both... Wtf did we do to deserve this

The beginning of SBR does drag and go on for a bit before the major action, but it didn't bother me when I first read it. I liked hearing all the racers' backstories. But I get going right into it

It’s really good! I think everything that was adapted was adapted very well. Gorgeous animation & fantastic soundtrack!
I will say it felt a tad rushed & overly condensed in some areas. A lot of things were cut that could have been cut but I felt shouldn’t have
