People leave school early for many reasons that have nothing to do with intelligence or effort: poverty, caregiving responsibilities, illness, unstable housing..

@rhopico Our tax dollars has made secondary education free in this country for quite some time. Unless you have a learning disability, if you cannot attain 5 CXC O level passes, you should be required to repay the state. All jobs should have this as a bare minimum indicator of literacy.
