I'm talking about the level of talent/experience that the two players had at the time of their potential moves. Nothing to do with fee. Ultimately, a player is either a success or a failure. It's binary and the fee is irrelevant for clubs like City. They need to buy players who work out.
No one is giving City a medal for finding a bargain in the market and their ability to raise revenues from selling academy players is precisely why they can make mistakes and move on. City don't have SCR issues, they can spend upwards of 250 million euros this summer and that's before we factor in the multitude of sales that'll happen between now the close of the window.
Also, if you can't see the level of talent Bouaddi has, you haven't watched him nearly enough. I've been following him for more than a year now. Unlike a lot of the people replying negatively, the World Cup wasn't my first time of noticing him.
