@marklevinshow I don't think your beloved leader is seeking to eliminate the regime. He's stalling and prolonging it. He's on track for one of those forever wars, and you're still cheering. Part of empire building is occupying countries and profiteering for the military-industrial complex.

One of the reasons we have so-called forever wars is that we do not go to war to pursue absolute victories.  By that I mean the elimination of regimes.  Indeed, those who talk about forever wars also insist that we not seek total victories, criticizing "regime change," and often confusing regime change with democracy projects.

Second, the 1979 Revolution was a direct result of American intervention and the installment of a dictator in 1953. So, even if you want to say that we have been at war for years, at least get the time frame correct. It was 73 years, not 47.

Wait a minute, I thought that this was a military operation and not a war? You keep claiming this so that you can pretend that the Constitution's Article I Section 8 does not exist.
