@CochiAtl @ethanmlam @sahilypatel i (literally) grew up in the old test tower (Dover days) in Horn Lake. A lot of phenomenal engineers from those walls had a big, positive impact on me and the other kids that grew up as children to those folks. Didn't get to spend as much time in the Hotlanta tower.

There’s just not enough. Every company needs labor and the bench ain’t got it. I’m telling you doing away with vocational programs in HS (like mine had) and switching focus to stem was a terrible mistake. Now we were desperately short skilled labor & the stem coders can’t get work cause of H1B’s Damn 🤦‍♂️

The deeper you go into the semiconductor supply chain, the less believable it becomes. > TSMC, a company on a small island, produces over 90% of the world’s most advanced chips > TSMC relies on dutch company ASML for EUV lithography machines > ASML depends on German Company Carl Zeiss, the only firm in the world capable of making mirrors precise enough for ASML’s requirements. > The light source for ASML’s EUV machines is produced by a single company in San Diego. > The photoresists used to print transistor patterns are produced by Japanese firms like JSR and Tokyo Ohka Kogyo. > The ultra-pure quartz needed to make silicon wafers comes entirely from a single mine in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. > The copper and rare-earth materials inside chips are mined and refined across Chile, the Congo, and China. > The specialized gases used in chipmaking, like neon and fluorine, largely come from Ukraine and Japan. > The design blueprints for these chips often come from American companies like NVIDIA, AMD, and Apple, which rely on software tools from U.S. firms like Synopsys and Cadence. Remove any single piece and the whole system collapses.

@yaadidit well you would sod the bermuda, and overseed perennial rye. Bermuda is drought tolerant, heat tolerant, and would do well in the summer months. It goes dormant in winter, so the perennial rye is used as a cover that's incredibly nice. Look at @ryanknorr on youtube.

@thegrassfactor Thanks for reply. Is for small toddler use mostly. As well it will be sod. Am I correct in reading that page as for mostly seeding then reseeding?

i'll pretend you're in norcal, like redding area as i have a friend there that does this specifically: bermudagrass lawn, overseeded with perennial rye every fall. You would want to begin this in the late spring, early summer. establish your bermuda - would use a good hybrid like ironcutter or tahoma 31. That fall, overseed with perennial rye ukturf.ca.uky.edu/sites/ukturf.c… Great, simple program to get you started. If this seems reasonable to you, let me know . if not, can explore other alternatives.

Softish under feet, maybe bit of light sports, we have big dogs and may let them play with us if grass can take it. There will be irrigation. It will he inside concrete curb circle. Landscaper suggesting 6 in so it can have lot of soil. No shade. No landscaping at in back yard, its new construction. Idont want maintenence and it get 110+ in summer I am leaning towards celebration hybrid bermuda mix after speaking with guys @ironnfox got me in contact with. What do you think about that for redding ca area

If you were counting on taking part in Tim Burchett's phone town hall (not in person, he's not doing that), you're out of luck. It's been canceled.

My Brother passed away this evening. Quietly. In his sleep. The best guitar player I have ever seen. A luthier. A gunsmith. A fine fine human being. He was older than me by 15 years so we weren’t as close as many siblings were. But we still loved each other. RIP Bill.

Customize your journal to account for your supplements. If you don't have a tag for a specific supplement, log it as something else (and don't forget what you use as it's placeholder) so your weekly/monthly reports can reflect the impact it has. Easy to spot the efficacy of supplements. ie. I'll log NAC as vitamin C, TRT pin days as calcium, ubiquinol as fish oil

Was gifted a Whoop for Christmas. Got it set up last night. Interesting seeing sleep, calories, and recovery tracking. Don't want to become obsessive over it, but I'm also a data nerd. If you have one, any tips/pointers? What's your favorite functionality?

54% of Americans read at or below a 6th grade level. Over 20% are illiterate. How many people are able to effectively communicate symptoms to their provider? How many people are actively tackling the things they can control, ie. lifestyle, diet, activity? Constantly seeking excuses before looking & acting inwardly is entitlement bullshit. The west is an individualist society. Demonstrate individual responsibility. "My doctors are making me sick, man" is woke, weak, drivel. Grow up, be an adult, and own your body. N=1.
