@LunammanuLx What is clear though is that she lacks that 100% moment of pure maturity Hornet so easily displays. Which I do believe warrants some acknowledgement
@LunammanuLx Yet it isn't particularly mature either. I would say teenagers are mostly associatied with nihilism, doubt and deprication. It is the age of change afterall. That is why we should use what we are told in game as defenitive proof, because her actions can be viewed both ways.
@LunammanuLx Killing her mother is understandable. Her joyfully using Pahrloom as a bargaining chip is not. Nevertheless I think we better use the info we get in game instead of trying to use our own subjective views (in HK for example, children are expected to fight. Which isn't true irl)
@theguywmdx Wow, I wonder why Lace was bottling up her feelings. Maybe because her insane mother (who is God) could unmake her the second she stops being the perfect doll for her? Killing said mother, while selfish, is also perfectly reasonable, and not childish.
@wi7211000031529 Where does the Mask Maker say Hornet is a child? She is not. She says plenty of times her childhood is long gone, she had sex before and acts entirely way too mature and composed.
As for Lace - the only guy that calls her old says in the same line she is a child.
@LunammanuLx Are these actions proposed only by children? No. That is why we use the words of every single source that we have, they are much less subject to interpretation.
@LunammanuLx I mean Shakra admits she was wrong by the end of the game.
Lace childish actions: pretty much everything. Though her sacrificing the kingdom for her selfish aims is pretty high on the list along with bottling up her feelings till she can no longer can.
@LunammanuLx Character facade so good that it fools even Hornet.
Lace doesn't really have a facede of maturity, she has one of strength and independence. When she drops it she is just as childish as when she has it. It really is the basis of storytelling.
@Valtime0214 - Context of the game. Similarly, Lace getting called a child by all the sources we have in her and all of them being wrong or variations of the word seems very unlikely and downright impossible for Hornet who has experienced that before.
@Valtime0214 Secondly, using the same idea we could take Hornet and Lace as related. Take FS's words: *she called us daughters... She lied* we could also not take them at face value and believe them more an act of rebellion:*you are not my mom, mom.* But that doesn't really make sense in the
@Valtime0214 There is quite a bit to be said here. I'll try to keep it short. Firstly Hornet exclusively uses the word child for two purposes: leniage (which she couldn't know in act 1 where she doesn't know who her mother is) and actual children (Nuu and runt)
@d86leader@katatsumu_ktkt_ Also I get you tried to make a joke but Lace isn't forever unchanging she is most likely capable of growth. It is just a proces that seems to start way into the future past Act 3. Unless you meant unchanging throughout the game in which case you would be right.
@d86leader@katatsumu_ktkt_ The one who has the <<Look of a child and a mind to match, but her's been up wanderin' this Citadel longer'n most.>> and is reffered exclusively as child. No idea why some always take half of the info gave by the Caretaker when he makes it quite clear Lace is still a child.
@im_minecraft170@_FirstSinner_ Also that guy @_FirstSinner_ blocked me without even saying how Lace is an adult. Should give you a pretty good clue of what Lace is to him. He doesn't seem to really care that Lace is a child and is shipped with an adult, otherwise he would have come with some actual proof.
@Luftwaffles27@katatsumu_ktkt_ If anything, Hornet disagreeing with Shakra about her age and yet going to pull the same stunt on Lace would make The Daughter of Hallownest a huge hypocrite.
@InOnesGraveDed@wi7211000031529 My brother in Moldova, I've played the games six times already and got every achievement. I have yet to see Lace being called an adult.
