Happy World Veterinary Day! We are delighted to take this opportunity to celebrate the incredible Veterinary team we have here at Tiggywinkles. There is always a member of our Veterinary team on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help animals in need. Thank you all!

This gorgeous Glis Glis (the largest species of dormouse) came into us with an injury to his tail. He is being cared for by our brilliant veterinary team who are doing everything they can to ensure he makes a full recovery. Look at those lovely big eyes! 👀

Our #food service times @theharrowtwits have changed slightly. Mondays 12-4, Tuesday and Wednesdays 12 till 8pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12-9, Sundays 12-4.

This Badger came into us with a head trauma after a suspected road traffic accident, our nurses x-rayed him to see the extent of his injuries & luckily, they weren’t too severe. He spent some time in a recovery cage until his wounds had healed & was released back into the wild.

This beautiful little Pipistrelle bat came into us last week after being found on the floor. He was severely dehydrated, but after some fluids and some rest, he is already flying well again and will be released as soon as possible.

On Tuesday 15th Feb there is an online quiz evening in aid of Tiggywinkles & all donations will go towards helping us to provide much needed care to the animals that come through our doors. We wish the organiser Rebecca well for the quiz and hope it raises a few quid!

One of the perks of being a rescue is starting the day with a panic when one crafty bugger has escaped their hutch overnight. Luckily he was within reach, and has suffered no ill effects after his adventure. Doesn’t look very happy to have been found,… instagr.am/p/CZWsmOhsKPd/

sad to hear the news of the Wolseley/Corbin & King being pushed into administration. hope to see some resolution soon and that the rent dispute / insurer dispute can be resolved quickly in order to resolve this consequent dispute with their owner

This little guy came in at 390g with Ringworm (which causes Hedgehogs to lose their spikes), but with a course of treatment he's making a brilliant recovery! He's having daily aloe vera massages so once his spines are back & he’s a good weight he will be released back to the wild
