NEW: A Seattle judge ordered media not to show the face of Joshua Kowalczewski in court, a homeless man with 46 warrants & 28 arrests, charged for allegedly forcing a 15-year-old girl into the woods & raping her, because of potential issues that could come up during the trial. So this security still is unfortunately the best image we have of him to share. He was found by the police while taking a dump on a sidewalk nearby

President Trump put out the call to rig the system in order to maintain the Republican majority in Congress, and red states are answering. I support efforts to level the playing field. In Washington state, we would need a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate to change our redistricting process. If we get that supermajority, I would not only support a redistricting effort — I would lead it. seattletimes.com/seattle-news/p…

NEW: Starbucks is slashing about 300 US support roles including in Seattle and closing some regional support offices. The coffe giant told me in a statement, "Leaders have taken a hard look at their respective functions to further sharpen focus, prioritize work, reduce complexity, and lower costs. As a result, we’re eliminating approximately 300 U.S. support roles. We are also reviewing our international support organization as we focus on being a world-class licensor and expect additional role impacts outside the U.S. We are streamlining our real estate footprint including consolidating U.S. regional support office space and taking several other steps with leases and lease commitments."

How exactly is Israel our greatest ally? Specifically, what have they done to earn that title? Israel has not deployed troops alongside US forces in any conflict since its founding in 1948. Israel is by far the single largest recipient of American foreign aid in our history. Adjusting for inflation, US aid to Israel from 1951 to 2022 totaled $317.9 billion, making it the largest recipient of American foreign aid since World War II. Why don't we worry about fixing problems for everyday Americans instead of paving their streets with American tax dollars?

NEW: Seattle Police are looking for the suspect in the May 10 murder of a University of Washington student. The suspect is a light-skinned black male approximately 5’7”, thin build, wearing a long-sleeve dark blue full zip shirt with a light triangle style emblem inside a circle on the left front, a white collared shirt underneath, dirty blue jeans, dirty dark, possibly gray shoes with a light sole. Subject is wearing darker rimmed eyeglasses, has short black/ hair and a goatee with ingrown scruff around the jaw. If you see the suspect, please call 911 immediately. If you know who the suspect is or have information about him, please call the Seattle Police Homicide Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
