How to fail as a game - Bot your engagement - Create fake hype around it - Focus only on Twitter - Pay influencers to talk about it - Pay people to play with it - Use funds as only way to attract - Launch tokens and NFTs before the launch - Launch a token

Tokenisation of games is and will never work! Micro transactions ruined gaming! Players hate live service games Gamers hate Pay to Win mechanics and skins The very notion of tokenisation and chains are built on the idea that gamers enjoy micro transactions. Couple that with the "crypto slop" branding and you have a product that is DOA. This industry should be left to sleep peacefully 😴 Nobody li

Gamers don't like crypto. Let's put it simply. This technology has a terrible reputation trailing it. In the community, it's called crypto slop. That doesn't change with tokenomics and and mechanics. For most studios (if any) that are genuinely passionate about games and not bags, working under the crypto umbrella attracts a stench that gamers avoid. Only the real industry OGs will tell you this.
Caffeina@CaffeinaWeb3

“The math isn’t hard.” It is. Web3 games don’t collapse because they lack players. They collapse because value is extracted faster than it is created. A great game doesn’t fix that. It just accelerates the collapse.

You can Blbuild whatever game you want on a blockchain, it won't be played by real gamers. Reasons are simple: Gamers see crypto as fraud They hate it the same way every gamer hates AI slop If a studio advertises a game as having block chain elements, that game is getting blacklisted and avoided in the community. If you don't believe me, Ubisoft was walking downhill before the NFT boom, once they dipped their paws into that stuff, they began driving downhill. Gamers hate cryptocurrency.
msq.sol@msq_dev

@DegenerateNews @calilyliu That's because 99% of the web3 games are absolute garbage money-grabbers not even fun or worth playing. Completely based on the tokenomics. If you had a game like Counter-Strike where all the skins were to be on the blockchain, that would be a totally different story.

Stuart Artwell shouldn't be a referee. This outing tonight further stinks up the degrading reputation of premier League referees.

Smart asf keh? Credit where it's due, yes. But that's something very common with local brands who are in touch with Nigerian markets, and not all of these marketing wannabes in startups who do not know how to connect with local communities.
Rebel@Ef__e

@Harri_obi @baysemarkets kudos to whoever is in charge of their marketing, because this is smart asf!

I’m not one to toot my own horn. I usually prefer to stay in the background and focus on the work. But sometimes it’s worth acknowledging the journey, lessons and achievements. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working on something I deeply enjoy - travelling to build networks that connect people, startups, companies and institutions within fragmented industries. Last year, I was central in the development of one of the largest esports and gaming networks across Nigeria, connecting teams, creators, communities and businesses into a stronger ecosystem alongside my team at @Nexal_Gaming. Late last year and early this year, alongside the incredible team at @Medesysolutions. I co-built one of the largest healthcare networks across Enugu State. We brought together hospitals, laboratories, campus networks, government institutions and other key healthcare stakeholders. While my team worked from the computer screens, identifying key healthcare clusters and communities, I was boot-on-the-ground mapping and documenting. This quarter, I’ll be working on building a vast National Agricultural Network that will be made publicly accessible with my company @PairEdge_ and Co-investors. This network is designed to support food distribution, partnerships, cost reduction and market expansion for farmers and stakeholders across the entire Agricultural value chain. Some of the things I’ve learned from this work are as: 1. Most industries aren’t lacking in talent or opportunities, they are lacking connective infrastructures that power growth. 2. The ability for the right people, resources and institutions to find each other quickly, and work together under low costs is crucial for industrial growth. 3. You have to learn and unlearn each time you travel to map networks and build bridges. This is because not all states and industries function the same way, and so different types of bridges are required each time. It's not the flashiest career (save for the quiet moments I enjoy in serene locations with my team and connects). But it always provides me with the opportunities to work with incredibly talented and visionary people, and that in itself is a beautiful thing. Here's to a more connected African Business landscape 🍷 I will keep updating my page with progress in our mission to build the nations largest Agricultural Network. Cheers!
