I am now scared of publishing agreement and contracts for short stories. Damn the legal clauses! I decided to start reading the clauses of each contacts I get as opposed to before when I merely signed everything without reading them because I want to get publish and put my work out there. The legality of each contacts has my heart thumping! What do you mean i am expected to indemnify my publisher should a legal battle ensure? As how? Where will I see money to sort out lawyer, juries and judges? No way! 😭
