@TanaCollins7 @Anne_Coates1 We have members and volunteers all over the country, we normally find a way to get things to us. Of course, sell what you can, or if some of it is special you might want to hold on to a few pieces if you know more about them. But as a charity and museum we would be receptive.

@TheLaceGuild @Anne_Coates1 Thank you so much for this information. I think I was hoping to sell at least some of it, but not sure how likely that is. Also added problem of how to get it to you without incurring too many charges as lace is in Sussex? Any ideas?

Does anyone know what can be done with bags and bags of beautiful hand crafted vintage lace tablecloths? This stuff must be going on 100 years old, but I understand that it has fallen out of favour trying to sell it at auction houses?

@Anne_Coates1 @TanaCollins7 Please do get in touch if you are looking to learn more about them or if you want to donate them to us, our curators would take a look, and accession anything that would enrich our collection, or we will find people to make use of them. 🙂🙂

Thankful today to be working in the museum’s climate -controlled textile store, alongside some volunteers from the Lace Guild of NI, cataloguing and labelling some beautiful Irish #lace and lace patterns. #keepingcool
