If she understood the ideology, she would probably instead be protesting how they consider women as second class citizens and forcing women to dress a certain way. If Islam ever took hold in her country, she would be thrown in jail for supporting the LBGT community and if she has found to be a lesbian, she would possibly be sentenced to death like it has happened in in Iran. She may be protesting the war without realizing that the larger war is being waged against her own country by those in her midst.
