The biggest problem with the remakes is that nobody truly understood Georgekutty like Mohanlal did. This scene is treated like a mass moment when Georgekutty is actually drowning in guilt, battling inner conflict and fearing the person he’s becoming

Hindi remake of the first one was not even remotely close to the quality of the original. The second was slightly better due to its production quality and adding a couple of very interesting scenes, again this movie was heavily carried by Akshaye Khanna.
