we're aiming to build the biggest game around crypto twitter on Solana 7 months ago we started building a fantasy game. a reimagined @fantasy_top_, more dynamic, funnier. took "slavery" as the core theme. called it Slaverse. months of dev. lots of problems. a lot of money burned. 5 months in we did a zoom out and realized we fucked up. the economy didn't work. the model was broken at the core, not something you fix with tweaks. on top of that X sends an email saying the account violates community guidelines. honestly, it was painful to admit. sat down to rethink everything. analyzed a bunch of web3 games and landed on a simple thing: players don't care about gameplay or mechanics if there are no strong financial incentives. the goal is always earning. that gave us an idea of what a web3 economy should look like. but we couldn't fit it into Slaverse. we'd have to redo so much that starting from scratch was easier. tough call. 5 months of work down the drain is no joke. so we built Pimpire (@pimpiredotfun) you play as a pimp, build your empire of crypto influencers and earn from their performance on X. no card battles like in classic fantasy. all mechanics built for the web3 user. cards have rarities. gacha mechanics inside. influencers represented as cards also earn revenue. fair reward distribution is something we care about. 7 months in and we're basically starting over. but this time we know exactly what we're building. and who we're building it for. soon.

EARLY USERS SHOULD WIN remember @addicteddotfun? 8 months later the same team launched @jaileddotfun closed launch. for the first 24 hours access to the game went mostly to KOLs and a small number of other users the logic here is clear and it works: let people with an audience in early so they bring new users with them. for a launch that's effective, no argument there but there's one thing that feels important to me in that model the advantage goes to you for already having an audience. meanwhile the person who backed the project from day 1, who believed in it when it was still nobody, comes in on the same terms as everyone else. sometimes worse and that to me is the real question behind any game like this: what should earn you an advantage? the size of your twitter, or the fact that you were here before everyone else? i think it's the second one we're building @pimpiredotfun, a project that turns the timeline into a game. you build a roster of the biggest names in ct. they post bangers = you earn and in our system the early user wins because they're early. got in sooner, accumulated more, locked in a better position. that's the whole mechanic of the advantage and this model grows on its own. early users who actually won have every reason to bring others in. they were never paid to shill. the system already put them ahead, so they spread it for free. that growth compounds this summer.

solid breakdown but a few things worth correcting from someone who reverse-engineered the economy: 1. the daily revenue going up isn't "people leaving." the model was designed from the start for daily $jail emissions to keep climbing. day one it was around 18-20m $jail/day. right now it's at 183m. that's the mechanism working as intended. 2. the closed launch was a deliberate call, same playbook they've run since infected. this time it was just way more pronounced. 3. a team changing economy rules mid-game is what every competent game team does. you can't model all the variables ahead of a launch. only real move on day one is ship your best guess and watch. my read: they realized 0.6 sol breeding + 6h cooldown meant players would take forever to reach epic prisoners, if ever. killing the sol fee and cutting the cooldown also spiked short-term token demand hard, which the chart shows. but they kept the 6h listing lock after dropping breeding to 15min and that part was genuinely scummy. it manufactured a momentary frenzy on prisoners, uncommons hit 8 sol, while guaranteeing the market would collapse within hours as more people cleared their listing lock. which it did. between that and the min listing price floor, common & uncommon trading basically died 3-4 hours after the change. 4. the take on no incentive for new users is correct and there's not much they can do to reverse it now. two culprits: a 4-day linear tax starting at 50%, and no real reason to buy the token at launch since every meaningful cost was in sol. 5. the communication take is the one i agree with most. that's their weakest spot by far. near-zero transparency, no announcements or explanations from the project account or any team member. @weretuna my g you could do better

thoughts on @Jaileddotfun not sure why exactly, but i ended up among the first to get a code in dms. my first thought after logging in was how good the music is for the core loop they reused the breeding mechanic from their last game, @pussycattech. the game is simple but looks hype at the same time, and i like how these guys always nail that balance i also noticed changes on the economic side, very different from @addicteddotfun: a token fee that starts at 50% and decays linearly to zero over ~4 days. looks like the call was made to stretch the game's lifespan, which pissed off the community a lot in the first 24h breeding cost $jail + 0.6 sol with a 6h cooldown. once the market opened and everyone could join, i sold most of my prisoners. a couple hours later the breeding cooldown got cut to 15 min and the sol fee was removed. felt like a strange move, but the goal was clearly to spike demand for the token, which worked well short term the main dopamine loop here is breeding prisoners to open packs. there's zero interest in speculating on the token because of the high tax, which let a lot of degens down i always try to break down projects like this in detail to pull out what works and catch the mistakes, so i don't repeat them in my own. work on @pimpiredotfun continues. soon anyone can become a pimp. onchain.
