I have a life in the UK. My grandma was English. My whole heritage is English. I can’t afford the visa cos they won’t pay teachers more.

I got my dog when I was just 19 years old and a single mother of 1. I kept my dog. I kept my dog even though I moved into an apartment and had to pay a $500 pet fee. I kept my dog when my boyfriend and I broke up and he kept the apartment even though my new place didn't allow dogs. I kept my dog when I ultimately had to move back in with my parents and she also was not allowed there. I kept my dog when I had my second child. I kept my dog when his father put all of us through hell and none of us had anywhere to go. I kept my dog when I had a penny to my name and we all ate nothing but buttered noodles for dinner. Ten years later I STILL have my dog because she is the very start of the huge family that we now have. Even though she's getting slow, eating less and turning grey I STILL HAVE MY DOG. @TTRadioOfficial Please mention how far behind inflation the pay bands actually are when you look back to 2010. It's not just this year but 13 years of sub inflation pay increases and freezes. The new pay offer hardly makes a dent 👇

@themellisadean @NEUnion Matching RPI inflation is unrealistic to be honest. Yes student loans are RPI linked as are many bills but CPI is more reasonable. So UPS 3 salary in 2010 is worth the equivalent of just under £55k in today's money. Big erosion of real value of the pay scales.

@NEUnion I have fixed the ex England table. You are recommending acceptance of a pay offer which is still (as of May 2023) between 7.1% and 15.8% behind CPI inflation since 2010. That's a huge 19.3% to 26.9% behind RPI inflation. 6.5% won't change 13 years of cuts. Retention 📉. Reject.
