I gotta ask myself, why did I bother to spend the time to dig out the fact that three out of four Warren Commission psychiatric consultants on the Oswald bio were CIA-linked? One was a major Artichoke figure. Big yawn from JFK assassination/CIA muckraker/MKULTRA exposé crowd!

In 1953, the U.S. and UK orchestrated a coup to overthrow Iran's Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh, reinstating the Shah to power. This covert operation, driven by oil interests and Cold War dynamics, has had lasting impacts on U.S.-Iran relations. #History #1953Coup #Iran

In the 1950s and 60s, Dr. Ewen Cameron's "sleep room" at the Allan Memorial Institute subjected patients to drug-induced comas and continuous audio loops in an attempt to erase and rewrite their memories. Funded by the CIA, these experiments caused lasting trauma. #CIA

The U.S. played a pivotal role in the 1963 coup that led to the assassination of South Vietnam's President Diem. Frustrated with his oppressive regime and failure to quell the Viet Cong, U.S. support for the coup set the stage for greater American involvement in the conflict.

Question: Why did we blow up that bridge? Answer: You'll understand when you're older. Working for the CIA, Mary Embree secured forged passports and money for field agents, and gathered information on topics from blowing up bridges to making explosives effective underwater.

The FBI's investigation of Martin Luther King Jr. lacked a solid legal basis, driven more by J. Edgar Hoover's personal animosity and a desire to undermine the civil rights movement than by any legitimate security concerns.
