This morning these young ladies got up bright and early to compete in the Merced Sunrise Rotary Speech contest. Congratulations to Preslee Hunter for winning the contest. She will now move on to the area contest in February! Congratulations to Natalia Robinson for placing 2nd.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner! Merced FFA’s Floral Department is selling Valentine’s Day arrangements! Orders will be accepted until February 4th. We only have a limited quantity so first come first serve. If interested see a floral student or Mrs. Harvey in S6!

Introducing Greenhand Treasurer: Christian!! Christian was awarded Outstanding Officer in the Sectional Opening and Closing Contest. He is preparing to participate in the Sectional Creed contest. We are thankful for Christian and the role he plays on our office team!

Introducing Greenhand Secretary: Corrina! She has been involved in the Opening and Closing contest and attended The Greenhand Leadership Conference. She is on the B.I.G. Team as well as on the Livestock Show Team! Merced FFA is so fortunate to have Corrina serving as an Officer!

ntroducing Greenhand Vice President: Madyson W! Today, Madyson presented her SAE to the Merced Garden Club! She showcased her SAE during Project Competition and we can’t wait to hear her results in February! Outside of the FFA, she is enjoys competitive cheerleading.

Introducing Greenhand President: Preslee H.!! Preslee has been a very involved member of our chapter this year! She competed in Opening and Closing Ceremonies Contest and is preparing for Creed and BIG competitions! She is looking forward to growing as a leader with her team!

Congratulations to Taylor Melgosa for being selected to attend the 2022 Sacramento Leadership Experience! She is one of 75 California FFA members that will get to participate in this experience of a life time! We can’t wait to hear all about it! Congratulations Taylor!

It was a busy day for a few of our members who competed in Sectional Project Competition. Each and every one of you represented our chapter well. Job well done! We are excited to hear the results come February!!

As challenging as last year was with the pandemic and being on distant learning for the majority of the year, our 2020-2021 Officer Team rose to the challenge of finding new and creative ways to get members involved. Congratulations on a great year!

Cassandra Valdez has been approved to receive her American FFA Degree! The American Degree is the highest degree the National FFA Organization can bestow and less than 1% of FFA members earn the American Degree! Congratulations Cassandra!@The_MHS_Bear @MercedUHSD
