People actually can be understanding to certain situations and lend a helping hand - like discounting rent for a certain time period.

From homeless to a stunning Chicago apartment… now she’s being evicted anyway. 🏙️ Faith Jones lived on the streets for eight years — panhandling and eating out of garbage cans. Then in 2023 she finally got her dream place at Vesta Lofts for $1,750 a month. She did a fun apartment tour that went mega-viral (over 2 million views) and her landlords even congratulated her at first. But other tenants got jealous about her “cheap” rent and complained. After she renewed her lease and paid July rent in full, they suddenly hit her with a 10-day vacate notice and filed for eviction. She’s convinced it’s retaliation so they can jack up the rent. Now she’s on month-to-month paying $200 more, scared she’ll end up back on the streets if she gets an eviction on her record. My heart broke watching this — she fought so hard to get stable and now it’s all slipping away. Hopefully the court overturns the eviction so she can keep the home she worked so hard for.

We see one sided videos online all the time that end up being the exact opposite of what it appeared to be.

This man ordered groceries, and when the delivery driver arrived, things went sideways. He came outside and asked her to put the bags on the porch, not the driveway. She didn’t like that and lost it. When he followed her to the car recording her, she threw the rest of the bags out of her car onto the wet grass. Did she have a reason to be upset with him? You decide.

He could’ve just reported the incident to Walmart; these services always side with the customer anyway. He seemed to have been rude and antagonistic before he started recording, which made her go off.

@_shaymack @wildfreakouts You don’t have to be a citizen to buy or own property in the US. You don’t even have to step foot in the country to buy it either. A lot of companies/individuals use loans and investments from their home country and others to buy land or property here.
