How are you able to “narrow it down”when you haven’t talked to your wife about it? 🤔 Because she would probably bring up the great point that just because Tesla has a bunch of safety features and auto drive. Doesn’t mean you get to “rest” while your kid who still only has a learners permit, drives.😠

Ok so I have narrowed it down to a Tesla Model 3 Basic 15000 miles a year for $359 a month. The lease option is so good it’s hard to justify used. We are starting a new business @fellowship_nc (both of my sons are partners) this will be how we commute to the store. Seems like a no brainer I get 30 minutes to rest he gets to drive and learn safely. Our store closes late so we will have the safety of Tesla for the tired rides home. @sweatystartup what do you think?

Struggling to not cry while writing this. Sadly, our 10 year old Golden Retriever, Winston, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. It is not survivable. I got Winston at the lowest point in my life, and in so many ways, he saved me. I was an alcoholic, single, so so depressed. I was a bitter, angry, selfish person. ...and I knew it So upon recommendation of a friend, I got Winston. And he changed my fucking life. I learned structure. I learned how to talk to strangers. I went outside every day on runs and walks. He gave me the discipline to wake up early. He gave me a reason to not stay out late. I learned that doing the right thing daily is what changes you, slowly. And because Winston needed me, I started becoming someone worth needing. But then, he didn't just become my dog. He became my wife's dog. My kid's dog. And he loved them with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain what it means to watch a dog learn to love your kids as much as you do. He's the greeter. He's my shadow. A peacekeeper. The one constant, no matter what kind of day we’ve had. I'm gonna miss you so much.

I have been a believer for close to 30 years and I affirm and share your frustration. I have watched it slowly happen over the past decade. But that’s how the Satan works. Sometimes there are overt and obvious evil acts that he has his hand in, but, to get to a believer it has to be a slow chipping away of truth and using half truth. If you had asked any Christian 10 years ago, if it was OK to allow children to change their gender, I’m pretty sure you would hear a resounding “absolutely not!” But if you were to say “ Do you believe that God loves everyone and meet them where they’re at?” I’m sure you would get an overwhelming “yes!” “That truth has slowly been chipped away by culture through langurage and changing of definitions. That is why it’s so important to be in the Word on your own and often. Just like bankers are trained to spot counterfeit money by handling it over and over again, as a believer, we need to be steeping our minds and soul in God‘s truth so we can spot lies. We might not always know why it’s not truth, but at least we have a starting point to dig in deeper and find out why it set off your Spidey senses. Try not to get discouraged. God has positioned you exactly where he wants you to speak truth and light into situations where believers have gone astray. The truth should always be spoken in love and I know that can be hard when you’re passionate about the topic. but again, if you search the Bible the way that God shows love to his people, has nothing to do with hurting their feelings. Many a profit were angry with God because of the truth that was spoken to them. I would encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 13. It lays out what love looks like. All the soft fluffy words are there like patient and kind, but also words like truth and not rejoicing in evil.

We just started going back to church, so I want to say this carefully, because I’m fully aware I could be missing something... …but I’ve been feeling very frustrated with, what I perceive to be, a lack of passion for the truth in the church In a recent sermons, someone said something like, “Hurting people with our words is wrong and we shouldn’t do that.” Not “don’t be unnecessarily cruel…” which I agree with. It’s more like… “don’t make anyone feel bad.” Which is NOT the same thing, and frankly… I don’t know if that’s even possible. And I definitely don’t know if that’s what we should be trying to prioritize right now… people’s FEELINGS, of all things. Because if “hurting someone’s feelings” becomes the standard, then truth is AUTOMATICALLY in trouble. So what is the Christian church actually going for, here? That my responsibility is to protect your emotional comfort… even if it requires me to stay silent while you live a lie? Because I firmly believe the opposite. Lying to someone is wrong, BUT ALSO allowing someone to keep believing a lie is wrong. I guess the point I’m trying to get at here is that I feel like a lot of what gets called “kindness” right now is just fear of conflict, or put another way, I feel like kindness is used as a shield for Christians to be passive. “I’m not perfect, therefore I won’t correct anyone.” “I’m not God, therefore I won’t say anything.” “I might make a mistake, so I’ll stay out of it.” What on earth do you think that creates? It creates a world where nobody with a conscience says anything out loud, a bunch of people walking around confusing their kindness with pure cowardice. Honestly, I just feel alone in the fight. What happens when all the “good” people decide the holiest thing they can do is stay quiet because a pastor is telling them to be terrified to speak up for fear of being called “unloving”? WAKE UP!!!!! The Left is shaping kids right now and THEY ARE NOT SHY ABOUT IT!!! They’re loud and absolutely relentless. They’re also ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. In the schools, entertainment, social media, sports, corporations, and institutions that used to at least pretend to be neutral. Their messaging is constant, aggressive…AND it’s framed as pure, holy, morality! So… what’s going on with the Christian church these days? Is your highest moral principle really, “no one should ever feel uncomfortable”???? Sorry for the long rant here, I just feel, like I said before, strangely alone in it. As if I’m the problem for believing that truth matters more than feelings… like wanting to speak out against something that is wrong is somehow “unChristian” of me if it gets others angry, upset, or threatening… TOWARDS ME. Maybe I’ve got this wrong and I’m open to hearing it, but in general, I feel alone in this.
